In the aftermath of Friday’s claim that Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott had assaulted a former girlfriend, multiple people had denied the allegations on Elliott’s behalf, including Michael Irvin and Elliott’s father. Eventually, Elliott provided a three-word assessment of the situation on Twitter: “Evil NEVER prevails.” He followed that message a few hours later by thanking…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2401586&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

I expect Elliott to break a lot of records in his time with Dallas... and this is his first one: Fastest debunking of a money-grubbing, gold-digger's story.

He shut up the entirety of the media and social media in literally half a day.

If Ezekiel is half as prepared for the games as he was for this money play, he's going to end up in the Hall Of Fame.

Dude I wanted Ramsey but loved Zeke as well. The more I see and hear from him the more I think he is something really special. I look back at the times Murray was caught from behind or ran the wrong way or ran out of gas and picture Zeke putting up 6 in those situations.

Another big plus.....has he ever fumbled in his entire career in football. Can't wait to see him play

Seems to me the fact that Ezekiel's ex-friend described her occupation as that of a "sex slave" on the police report is fairly revealing about who and what she is. The fact that several witnesses denied having any knowledge of domestic violence occurring also appears to make the existence of credible evidence quite doubtful as well. Additionally, if solid evidence turns up that this woman sustained her injuries in a bar fight, she's toast.

Is somebody saying that's what happened? Seems like there'd be plenty of witnesses to that.

He fumbled 4 times at Ohio State but yes, ball security is a strong suit of his.

As far as I know right now, it's been Zeke Elliott making that claim. Not sure if anyone else has chimed in with that lately or not but there's also been speculation that a video of that bar fight might be available. If so, I think it's highly doubtful that her case would survive. We can bet it's not over yet.

In the eyes of the law yes, but in the eyes of biased NFL commish and his cronies....that is an entirely different "set-up".....

He should be fine. He was out ahead of this before the nfl released anything, so unlike the brady gaffe for example, the nfl has not been made to look incompetent. They have no reason to have a grudge against him.

Yes, agree, but I do not trust the NFL office and their idiot decisions at times and their witch hunt tactics.
They have their own set of laws.

If there is a video and it's found, and along with Zeke's text messages saying she will set him up, this whole thing will be squashed. I wasn't too worried about it when it first came out and as the days go by I'm less worried about it.

On the long term, the only thing I am worried about is Zeke's judgement with who he hangs out with. I'm not a fan of seeing a picture of him and some chick while Zeke is asleep in her bed. Then his ex-GF uses social media to post her pictures of the alleged assault. I am a little worried about his maturity level and the maturity of the people he hangs out with.
