I wonder how LA fans felt about it, and fisher and the owner, They won the game, but the guy they gave up a lot to pick high,
looked pitiful compared to our 4th round pick, who looked great.

In fact dak looked so good, I was thinking lets just bench romo and make dak the starter !
Even tony at times was looking like he was thinking wow this guy make take my job.

A qb cant play much better than dak did, and he looked comfy doing it.

So now if some teams knock tony out of the game it could be a mistake ??

Anyway just one game, but he did look very good. I was surprised by it.

I did feel sorry for showers having to play with the scrubs, hope at some point he gets
to play with the first team,so we can see how he does then.

But just seeing them both play this one game I dont think they should bring in a vet at all.
I think dak and showers could win games better than any vet they would get.

Dak still needs time. I like what i saw but the thing is he has to put those type of performances up 90% of the time to be considered a good QB. Its good that he can learn behind Romo. I hope Romo can stay healthy for another 3 or 4 years and groom Dark into the position. He has the traits he just needs to iron out the wrinkles.

Remember the cowboys would have drafted 4 QBs ahead of him if they had a chance including Brissett,I was skeptical of him but he has improved dramatically playing with a great Oline..

If Swaim didn't drop those two passes, he would have been perfect throwing the ball. My only concern with Dak is the possible lack of staff to develop a QB. Cassell saying he couldn't find a qb coach is problematic. Weeden going to the Texans and winning a game, while unable to do so with us is also problematic. Thank God at least we have Romo that Dak can learn from, but we really need to make sure the proper coaching is in place for him to really develop.

Dak's performance yesterday was the most impressive preseason performance I can remember by a Cowboys rookie QB since Quincy Carter's performance vs Oakland back in 2001. That was the performance that made Jerry decide to start Carter and cut Tony Banks. Dak did get the benefit of playing with some of the starters including Dez, while Showers was stuck playing with scrubs. With Romo starting the next 2 preseason games it will be more of a level playing field between Dak and Showers with both having to play with backups and bubble players.

He was very impressive in the senior bowl. Which was honestly the first time I had an exstented look at his ability. Glad he's shown up his first game as a cowboy with the same skill set on display.

Of course!

We need to see how he handles coming back onto the field after throwing a horrible pass for an INT or being down by 17 points at the half.

We've seen some and liked it a lot! But we need to see more.

QB ratings in a preseason game.....meh
But we all have to admit that it beats the alternative.
If he had stunk it up there would be some real panic right now for sure.
I'm optimistic.

agree..........but you want a purpose for Moore, the hurt young Qb. Its been repeated that he is one smart kid, understands the game, the position.................you attach him to Daks hip, Moore is going to be a coach regardless, be it a qb coach and then to a Off. Coor some day........let them learn together with some guidance from Garrett, Linehan etc.........

Prepare the bust. Clear a space on the Ring of Honor.

Tony Romo should just go ahead and announce his retirement.

.....wait for it.........

I don't think anyone cheered harder than me when we drafted this guy, but holy hell... Tap the breaks.

Sam Bradford looked like an All Pro in preseason, because it's preseason.

There are so many things he's going to have to deal with going forward that we just can't even begin to project.

I liked what I saw. But let's see how he handles himself going forward.
