Conviction Against Brendan Dassey of ‘Making a Murderer’ Is Overturned

Really it should never be about the murderer. But about the families of the victims. And how that the media that tends to ignore that. Sorry but just my two cents worth.

I would

Zero hard evidence.

Well, except the victim's body on Avery's property, along with Avery's DNA on the victim's vehicle and and the victim's DNA on a bullet found in Avery's garage. Other than that, the law got nothing on Avery.

And Dassey did help murder the victim but he was taken advantage of by his uncle. Dassey confessed to the crime to his cousin who, in turn, called the police which is why they went to the school to interview him. He got off on a technicality and he's certainly mentally challenged. It's tragic on many levels. not the least of which is the victim and her family.

They had access to his blood and it was proven tampered with.

The bullet was found by someone told NOT to be on the property unsupervised. Because he had a conflict of interest.

They found her bones in multiple places that multiple people had access too and even mostly proved the ones by his house were moved there.

Again...no hard evidence.

The blood was not tampered with and that was proven by expert testimony. And of course her body was moved there since she wasn't murdered there. And the bullet was fired from Avery's gun which was mounted in his bedroom.

You can't say that blood vile was not tampered with. No clue if the blood was planted but the vile was def tampered with.

What if I told you the entire premise of the show was that the guy may not actually be a murderer.......crazy thought.

Not sure Steve will be let out but the kid damn sure should have been. Provided he had any involvement, I think you'd be hard pressed into believing that the decision was of his own volition. Additionally, the fact that a person with his mental capacity was put through multiple grueling interrogations without representation should be grounds for bringing charges against those who signed off on the matter. Kid could barely read, and any dip in mental ability would put him in the realm of needing full time care in an assisted living facility.

His stupidity was overplayed and his mother was there for both interviews..... the cops are not under any obligation to stop listening when a person willingly talks.... and even the stupid can be charged with crimes, there is no constitutional protection for being dumb, impatient or confused.....I could be led to believe Brendan's involvement was after the murder and that he was really scared of Steve but he is no innocent babe in the junkyard

He has already served 10 years and if he agreed to an Alford plea or no lo contendere and was given time served with 10 years of stringent probation in exchange for just telling the truth as he remembers then that would be fair, imo
