Didn't say that, haven't said that, wouldn't say that. I'll take optimism over pessimism any day of the week though. That aside, I don't care what anyone else has said at this point. If you get some satisfaction out of this news you're an idiot.

Sure you did, you just apparently didn't realize it. In your "optimism", you think it's OK for one group to chastise the other with "I told ya so's", but when they get it handed back to them? No fair!

Good luck Dak.

Agreed.

Not surprised at all. The awkward position he was in going down, the look on his face on the sideline later, the "nothing serious" statement afterwards, and the back injury history all pointed to this being the end result. If you didn't think Romo was fragile after the injuries he's had the last few years you weren't paying attention. I'm heartsick about it but I don't see how anyone could think he can come back and be reliable.

Lots of new people in this forum all of a sudden. Hmmm.

If preseason is a prediction of things to come, I do believe Dak is as good or better than Winston, Mariota, Goff, Wentz, Lynch, Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor, any SF QB, Garrapolo, and maybe numerous others.

Dak can do this. I believe. He has enough talent around him in Dez, Witten, Elliott et al. And he has the best OL in the league who will give him time. Just don't go conservative. Let her rip. Let Dak be Dak and go for it. The team needs to get a chip on their shoulder and be the hunter as opposed to the hunted.

I was raked over the coals for saying Romo will retire after the draft. But I also said Dak will suck .. Maybe I'm batting .500

All offseason I put his over/under for this year at 5 games and 16 games for his career. You might want to take the under.

Can we put him on PUP for the 1st 6 weeks to save a roster spot? Or is that only before TC/Pre-season?

He'll be back.

I have really liked Romo over the years though good and bad, but he may have to hang it up sooner then later. I hope him a speedy recovery. Looks like we very well could be getting more of the Dak show week one

I'll await the official report regarding time he'll be out. If Garrett wasn't ready to rule him out for week one, then that means Dr hasn't given any 6-8 weeks, just speculation. I think it will depend on location, pain management, and future danger. Guys play with cracked ribs, so I still think he could be gone all season or play week one. That said, if OL controls NY DEs, I think Dak could have a huge game vs the Giants.
Somebody could be dead and Garrett would still say he was day to day.

He's done. It's past time to start looking elsewhere. We must find out what Dak has. So we can either roll with Dak or draft a QB in rd 1 next year. If Dak looks decent at all then we can forget about Tony coming back. Securing the future of the QB position is more important than getting Tony back in basically another lost year.
