Danny White was a much better QB with a crappier team in from of him......
You think Danny White was better than Romo?? Now I liked Danny White, he was the guy leading the team that started me out as a Cowboy fan. Watching the numerous comebacks in the 4th quarter fight til the end mentality was fun, and I thought he was a great QB, but I think Romo is definitely better. He is just playing against better teams and with always shifting talent around him. Jerry neglected Romo by always grabbing for the flash in the pan players when he really needed to be getting players who would actually help this team win games like the entire Oline. Getting quality olinemen in the 11th hour is obviously and apparently too late.
Great run Romo, sorry you didnt get a chance you deserved in the superbowl, but you gave it your best under the circumstances.

Sure you did, you just apparently didn't realize it. In your "optimism", you think it's OK for one group to chastise the other with "I told ya so's", but when they get it handed back to them? No fair!

Agreed.

Sorry, I prefer to deal with and say things directly. You can determine what I'm implying as long as you like but it's a waste of time.

I'll entertain this for a moment though, if you don't see a difference in gloating over misfortune and gloating over good fortune well once again we arrive at idiot.

Regardless I never said it was "not fair" this isn't the schoolyard, fair? what is this nana booboo mentality you have. No, what I'm saying is it's in poor taste, and makes you and others engaging in it look petty.

Have at it though. I'm just upset that my favorite player ever may be done, and under pretty ****** circumstances. Given the way his career has gone, the narratives about him, the joy everyone seems to get over anything bad or unfortunate happening to him, it's really disappointing that it's happened again and maybe ending on this note... with our fans celebrating nonetheless.

oh well.

I love Dak, and I think he can develop into a quality starter but he's a rokie and once teams figure him out it won't be too easy once live bullets start flying. But after admittedly trying to be cute with the back up position in 2014 and 2015 and again not signing a vet backup this offseason the onus is on the front office.

Man is the only animal that trips twice over the same stone.

He's done. It's past time to start looking elsewhere. We must find out what Dak has. So we can either roll with Dak or draft a QB in rd 1 next year. If Dak looks decent at all then we can forget about Tony coming back. Securing the future of the QB position is more important than getting Tony back in basically another lost year.
Exactly my thoughts. Roll with Dakota and if he falters, draft a QB 1st next year. Tony, it's time to hang em up man while you can still walk. Go become a pro golfer.

Anyone know what the cap hit looks like for Tony?

Romo might never get his starting job back

If Dak can perform in the regular season the way he has in preseason and shows he can win games then Romo probably won't get his starting job back but that remains to be seen.

Listen learned here. Throw the freaking ball away... ITS PRESEASON

He has shown his whole career that is he incapable of learning. He has talent but has never been very bright. It's the same story every year. I'm ok with Dak. Perhaps he will play at or above his regular season stats in the playoffs.... unlike Romo.

Next man up. It's time.

Living in denial...

Good news if your a Garrett supporter...You now have your built in excuse to keep Garrett around for a few more years.

Ain't that the truth!

He's hot a built in excuse for any failures again this year. For as bad as poor Romo's luck is, Garrett should be playing the lottery every single day.

He deserves so much better.
Yes he does. I could tell he was hurt bad Thursday night. I wash hoping against hope that he was OK. But I have to agree with many others. It's time to hang it up. It's so sad because he still has uncanny accuracy and savvy to play the game. But if you can't remain upright, you can't play football. Yep, he really deserves so much better.

@ first I thought he might have torn up a knee...that was such an awful slide. He looked like a player that was washed up during that pathetic slide.

Regardless...we are back into looking for a backup QB.

Quarterbacks
Jimmy Clausen (29)
Matt Flynn (31)
Josh Freeman (28)
Tarvaris Jackson (33)
Ryan Lindley (27)
Johnny Manziel (24)
Michael Vick (36)
Charlie Whitehurst (34)
T.J. Yates (29)

fixed.
