Are there any really significant, game changing, differences in the game from the last few years?

I haven't bought a Madden since 2015 (and that one was the first I'd bought in a couple of years) because they never really seem to make game changing developments. It's all fancy new menus and an updated roster.

So basically I was paying 60.00 for an updated Roster and that just wasn't cutting it for me. From what I've seen of this years it doesn't appear to be anything real different from what has been getting played for 3-4 years now and that's just a waste of money if that's the case.

The game is released every year and the topic is always the same. There will never be significant changes year to year.

I wish someone would put out a game focused entirely on Franchise Mode, even if it has to be EA.

That's all I play, and I find the whole card collecting or whatever aspect of the game so stupid - yet they spend resources on it every year, probably because that's where they do their micro-transaction nonsense.

I'm 3 games in myself and agree w/Cyberbob. The engine is the same but there are heavily advanced aspects for those who want to play sim; passing depth, receiver catch options, the OL/RB game is much more fluid, coverage audibles pre snap on D are essential on All Madden or online, presentation authenticity improvement during broadcasts, and much improved zone coverages.

I would say they probably have got as much out of this animation engine as they can and will need to move onto a physics based engine going forward next year; they've incorporated some aspects regarding weight ratio and the RB/OL and front 7 interactions. Amazon usually puts it up for $40 about 2 weeks after release like most games if you have prime. I just need a football game though NHL/NBA2K are great and passed on Madden 13-15'. It's not a bad game compared to previous releases in my opinion.

I do not know if the game coders did it to be funny I am in week four in franchise mode and have 4 guys out with a broken collarbone, none are Romo but seriously.

That is a glitchy thing. I'm in week 6 now and only injury I had was to Whitehead for the remainder of the game. Weird.

That is odd brother. If anything, I've wanted more injuries to my team just for realism's sake. Maybe when you start a fresh one the bug may have kinked itself out? I'm on X1

Yeah that sux bro, was on PS last year and got it on X1 bc of the external HD, etc. Love my PS4 but the storage limit is frustrating to re-downloading a game after deleting it for space, etc. I know you just re-download it but was irked that Fallout 4 took so long to re-download. I thought Witcher was long..

Did you have to open up the guts? I was a little hesitant to do that bc I tend to be heavy handed and break delicate finer items. That's what I'm doing now on X1 but w/external (4TB). I really only got X1 as payment for a loan and got it on the cheap. BC turned into somewhat of a bust, I may have replayed Dead Space but that's about it.
