Madden 17

I found some FA beasts. I'll list them tomorrow for franchise people. One is Rico gathers not really a beast but a damn good te. Also keep twill and Butler! Also go to FA And pick up the hb with the last name ham! He's awesome 96 speed.

Anybody else notice this. Playing franchise when you finish this season romo is gone!?!?!??!!

He's still there in 18' for me (85 ovr.) and have Dak up to an 81, and oddly Witten stays too. 17' was a playoff season for me though. I know in last year's Madden if I tried to bomb for a pick or just miss the playoffs in general, Romo would always retire (may be related to record).

Nice (wouldn't have thought you could pry Watt so didn't entertain the thought), but didn't win the SB; maybe the opposite occurred bc I made it and had good/decent stats from him, etc.

I won the sb in my franchise using who we have with dak as the starter until week 8.

I added a ton of good players now this next season I'm already 1-3 lol damn

I added junior gallete, jj watt, jaylon smith, dware, and a good corner. Plus more Lol

I'm 1-3 and the Eagles are 4-0 I have to catch them.

Lol only pro. I've never been to good at madden. Lol problem is I get down the field easy but rarely get a td and have to settle for 3.

Man I won back to back (Romo the first, Dak the second) and he still didn't retire for the 2018 season. Cut him lol.

By far the best Madden yet.

Took me a couple games to get the run game down. Now, Zeke averages over 6 a pop, and it's not just one cheese play over and over. Morris in the fourth, when the defense is tired is good for 5 yards+ easy running up the gut. (All Madden no sliders touched) Noticed the second half the defense would adjust if I would run stretch/pitch tosses alot on certain formations, so then I mix it up the middle when they have their D;line spread wide or their linebackers shifted to one side.
Haven't had the drop issue yet, only when the receiver got pop, was in congested coverage or jumped up and got flipped had there been a drop.
San Diego is now in New Mexico, which was weird cause the first yearI played them in the SB, then the second year they went to Conference finals. So weird from a team ranking perspective.

You can change that stuff in the difficulty sliders, but yeah, I remember a lot of no-look interceptions that year.

Autojuke only happens because you're playing on a lower difficulty. One you get to All Pro and above, runner's won't automatically make moves like that.

I'm still finding it a little tough to run with Zeke. Typically, I prefer power backs in Madden. I just drafted a RB (a white RB, no less - I had to have him once I saw his flowing golden locks) and I have more success with him than Zeke, because he's a power back.

When I hit people with Zeke, he tends to fall right over whereas the power back usually falls forward. Maybe I need to get better at trucking.

I haven't purchased a Madden since '13 I believe "Calvin Johnson" cover, because I didn't ever really feel the game was advancing very much each year.

After purchasing 17.. I still feel this way. It's shinier, that's about it. There are noticeable tweaks but nothing too outstanding. Madden is still "Fun". But not anymore so than it ever was. I've just finished my second season, and there hasn't been anything that has made me go "WOW". Still incredibly clunky in between plays having to constantly skip random cutscenes I don't want to see, almost like mini load times.

I feel like the animation system has regressed in ways. Players go "Ragdoll" now? It looks awful during some tackles, players legs flopping really oddly.

Passing game is a TON easier this year than I remember it being (only playing on All Pro atm). Deep ball feels fairly easy to execute.

Running game is annoying me. I feel like there is a "suction" effect if I get within an inch of an OLINE player. My RB Just gets stuck on them and I literally have to go backwards to get off/around them. I also have the problem of feeling like my RB's never fall forward. Gives me a really hard time with 1-2 yard plays/drives. I always feel like I get stuck at the line.

The one new feature that I actually really like is the new Sim System. Playing the big moments etc.
I noticed a feature I thought I'd absolutely love. When I go into the seasons Schedule there is a "force home win/Force away win" option, but It doesn't appear to work.. Would be absolutely amazing if it would just sim a win/loss. I like to stack certain teams/etc for storyline reasons, sometimes I just wanna try to face certain teams int he superbowl etc.

I'm stuck on last Gen since I'm cheap and have a modded 360. I'm complaining only about this version.

Pluses:
Great animations, catching system
Sliders are super effective (check out Operation Sports Madden Sliders forum)
Players clutch ability is noticeable

Negatives
Commentary blows on a vulgar level
Menus are still slow
Sim to the next quarter does not run the clock appropriately while playing the game

But I will be playing some Franchise mode, usually Sunday mornings after yardwork.

I must have it disabled.

I still wish there were an easier way to swap backs in and out for different situations. It's the only position where I'd like to be able to pick exactly which back is on the field on a play by play basis.

The easiest way I found in the past was to raise the level of stamina RB's swap in/out at, so the guy was at least always fresh. I don't use the scheme switch stuff often in the play calling menu.

I'll try swapping in the power guy in the 4th and see what happens, thanks for the tip.

I do, but I suck. used to be pretty good, but haven't played it significantly since like Madden 2008 or 2009 or so.

Word. Madden 07 was the best of the series and the one I played the most.

I used to be top 100 online but now the game is so CPU-based that it's not fun anymore.

In the draft, I used my scouting to tell me a guy is considered a middle 1st round player. I drafted him at the 32 pick. “bad move. You selected him too early”

It's not dumb. Sometimes scouts make mistakes so I like that that happens.
