Butler or T-Will?

I would still say that Beasley is actually the #2 option at WR, but he usually plays in the slot, which is typically considered the #3 WR...

As for Butler vs Williams, give me Butler with a slight edge... Some credit should be given to the Cowboys front office for getting Butler out of Oakland for a 6th Round pick.

why is this even a discussion? just because someone is an unknown doesn't mean they are better.

Laurent Robinson did well for us.

Then you should feel pretty good about Williams.

Robinson's one year in Dallas (by far the best of his career) - 54 Rec, 858 Yds, 11 TDS

TWill's average over 3 years - 44 (52) Rec, 732 (840) Yds, 5.3 (8) TDs - career bests in parentheses.

For their careers, Twill has more yards and more TDs in 11 fewer games.

3 years compared to 1. yea, they are practically the same. What was i thinking? Clearly yards equal touch downs. Id rather have stats vs tds as well. So the comparison is clearly evident.

Prescott has a better understanding with Butler,i wouldnt be shocked if he gets more snaps than Twill who is on his way out after this year.

I want to say Butler but he is not know for his durability. T-Will it is. I hope he has an amazing season, a bidding war for him happens during free agency, and a nice 3rd round comp pick comes our way.

The 3 years to 1 is in Robinson's favor.

The point was that Williams generally puts up fairly comparable numbers to what you considered good, and that's for a guy who only has 3 years in the league. Robinson's sole year that wasn't poor, was his 5th in the league.

I'm going with the clutch receiver who's made plays in the regular season and the playoffs. If Butler wants to supplant Twill let him make some plays in the regular season and show he can be more consistent than Twill. Butler makes a few plays in preseason and some are ready to anoint him.

I still don't understand all the hate for Terrence Williams around here. He's a good WR2. You can't name that many better WR2 in the league right now.

83

Look at that deep ball butler caught against Miami couple weeks ago.

And then remind me why you don't like TWILL again

Williams is underrated by most on this forum even though he's been a solid #2 WR
Butler is overrated and has been only projected to be good based on physical attributes.

As of right now it would be insane to take Butler over Williams.
Maybe in the near future Butler will exceed Williams abilities.

I want Butler to be the #2... but Williams is clearly better in my opinion.

Good point, excellent post,

he is another point i should have said "whoever Dak likes" IF Butler works for Dak, fine, I think we also forget kind of like the better catcher for the pitcher. If Dak is more comfortable with Butler, than thats his man. Stat wont matter.

That's kinda how I see it as well.

I'd be comfortable with Butler if Williams went out but Terrence will be fine to good this year, I think
Both will play plenty but don't think butler took the 2 spot. Hopefully he can develope even more and be ready next year

Expectations for Williams have always been unresonable. He's a pretty solid number 2 that can stretch the field. Is he the best number 2 in the league? No, but most teams dont have a pro bowl wr starting opposite a Dez Bryant caliber player either. There is no need to replace Williams in the starting lineup this year and think he will have a solid year in this run first offense.

Give me Butler. Better route runner and better hand catcher. T-Will has advantage of experience in the offense, but I expect Butler to more than challenge him as the year wears on. Besides salary demands, Butler may very well be the reason this will be T-Will's last year in Dallas.
