Just like it did with Romo. Romo basically came out of nowhere. He looked great in preseason and some people started to get on board. Annoyingly so, like I am with Prescott. Seems waaaaay tooo early type thing.

And essentially what happens is that you get half the fans on the pre bandwagon and half the fans annoyed by the hype. And this is where the hatred all starts and the fans get divided.

Everyone should just get on the Dak bandwagon now so if and when he does succeed we dont have fans rooting against him just to be proven right. I see it happening all over again. Especially with the support for holding onto the Romo dream.

There's no hatred. We all have our opinions. We'll see soon enough. Go Cowboys.

I'm aboard. I know it's too early but as a fan you've got to enjoy the "hope" while you can. If it turns out good, then you can continue to be ecstatic about the future. If it turns out bad, then hey, you at least got to enjoy a brief moment or two with hope that the future can be bright. Nothing to lose IMO with being on Dak's bandwagon right now as long as you don't turn to smack talking others who don't believe in him before he is proven. If you do that then you will be tarred and feathered and rightfully so.

Belief in Dak = Good.
Smugness Boisterous Blowhard Belief in Dak = Bad

Right now I'm quietly enjoying the feeling of hope for the future that Dak represents. It feels good.

right now and as always has been I want the dallas cowboys and their players all of them to succeed it takes a team to win a championship and that's what I hope they have now

Don't agree with you on this at all. I see a number of fans very excited at Dak's potential and believing that he will succeed. I see other fan's being more cautious in their optimism, but still excited at his potential. Then there's the smallest group that are taking the approach of the preseason being meaningless and needing to see regular season success before they have any optimism. Nothing wrong with any of those takes. If he fails, I think rational fans will be disappointed, but take the "back to the drawing board" approach. If he succeeds, all fans will be ecstatic. Whether anyone is on the "Dakwagon", or not, at this point is meaningless (although, the vast majority of fans are excited at his potential, from what I can tell). I'm sure every fan is rooting for him to succeed, but he actually needs to show it on the field. Here's hoping for the best!

Except that Dak is trying to dethrone a franchise QB, not really the same as 2007. I hope that he plays lights out(or at least shows that he belongs) and goes on to be our next QB for years but if he crumbles under the pressure, we still have Romo coming back sooner than later.

I pray that we don't see Sanchez for a string of games this season, let Dak play until he proves his ability one way or the other. If he is questionable, keep him in there until Romo can take over.

The best thing that can happen is the team goes at least .500 with Dak and then Tony comes back healthy and leads the team deep into the Playoffs....Dak gets invaluable experience and Tony gets one more shot with a top notch Offense

No, it isn't the same in any way.

Romo got the call in his FOURTH season with the team. Four training camps, four preseasons. Three plus years of sitting and learning. Entirely different situation.

Sorry, you can't be the thought police, it never works out. No matter what there will be nay-sayers and cheerleaders on any given topic.

There's not really a real bandwagon with limited space and everything. Where some fans might guess that Dak's the real thing and some might guess that Romo is already done, we just don't know what's going to happen yet.

If I had to guess, I think we got very lucky and that we probably have two capable QBs. Maybe two very good QBs if Dak can deliver in the regular season. I'm pretty happy about that, and don't see the need to try to divide our own fans into two groups based off of insufficient information. We'll know for real, soon enough.

Who wants Dak to fail? If he is good, he keeps the job. If not, Romo has it when he returns, until he gets hurt again.

I'm excited either way. I love romo and hope to see him again. If not it's likely because Dak played at a very high level and I couldn't be too upset, but would still feel bad for Tony.

You mean the best thing for Romo.

The best thing for this team is winning the superbowl regardless who is at the helm.
