Lets say fans get wish and Garrett is fired, now what?

Honestly, for me it would be Gruden and nobody else. Only reason for Gruen would be to get Tony a ring.

Want no part of Gruden. He took a steep dive after those 3 years he had success. I also don't think he has any desire to coach again or at least right now. I'm sure he's making good money doing the MNF gig and the stress is astronomically less. Same as when some thought Cowher would come back at some point but he won't, either.

Although at this point, anyone but Garrett can be seen as an upgrade since it will be addition by subtraction. Preferably someone who has experience. Garrett had zero and we suffered all these years because of it. Someone we won't have to train on the job, especially with a young QB.

Saban
Harbaugh
Meyer
Shaw

Let's not pretend like there aren't plenty of good options out there

Nick Saban? He flamed out in the pros and went back to college. There is no way he leaves the empire he created at Bama to come coach in the NFL, especially for an egomaniac like Jerry. He is god at Bama. Gets paid 7.1mill a year. That would put him in the top tier of NFL coaches. There is much more stress at the pro level. I doubt he wants any part of it right now. He's building a legacy right now in college as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, coach of all time.

You would to if you had no QB.

Gruden, pressers would be great again!

Tom Hermann
Meyer
Saban
Briles
Patterson

I could on and on....gets me excited, but if it happened he would probably give someone like Bilema from Arkansas blah, or Gailey another shot!

Or maybe he was just propped up by one of the best defenses in history. Because the QB when he was there was Brad Johnson. So that is not the excuse.

Same as when Brian Billick won it all with the Ravens defense and had no QB. Does not mean he was a quality coach. Seeing as he never even came close to getting back to that success. Same as Gruden.

I don't know if Saban wants to go back to the pros or not...but I sure as heck would take him in Dallas...no question

Shaw. Garrett goes when Romo goes so to root for Garrett exit I believe is to root for Romo's as well. At this point I'd sign up for that. Love Romo but this core group needs a flushing.

Would Gruden be willing to compete in the division with his brother?

I've thought of this before and I don't think so. Similar to Eli and Peyton never wanted to be in same division.

But....his brother could get canned as well.

Ray Horton
Darrell Bevell
Art Briles
David Shaw (Stanford)
Kevin Sumlin
Frank Reich

Just to toss some names out. Really wish we could have got Todd Bowles.

I don't think so either but it would be awfully hard for him to turn that job down.

That would just be downright weird having the Cowboys and Commanders coached by the Gruden brothers.
