in my mind if they fire garrett they should get rid of the entire staff and lots of players will also be gone will be big changes but the coordinator from the pats would be really good or Stanford head coach there are lots of good choices out there to hire but he needs to be in charge jerry needs ot let him be the coach give him the power

I don't think so either but it would be awfully hard for him to turn that job down.

That would just be downright weird having the Cowboys and Commanders coached by the Gruden brothers.

Jerry loves to make money, you know this. Gruden will sell tickets, merchandise, etc. The networks alone would have the shot on him half the game and his faces. PC's would be entertaining again, etc etc

I've always liked him. He just couldn't find a QB after his SB. Would be fun to watch for sure.

But..Marinelli will be the sacrifice, or he will retire, etc. If I were Jerry at 73 I would be selling the farm to get me one last SB!!! I don't understand it...

Ok Please be serious in this thread no Garret or Jones bashing?

I know fans have been complaining for years about Garrett ! So let's say at the end of this Season he is let go and you get your wish what do you do.

Who would you want for Garretts replacement, do you replace linehan and marinelli also, if so who do you bring in ?

Please give serious answers

Why so serious? (Dark Knights Joker)

And let him hire the coaching staff. Brilliant!
Won't happen. The almighty dollar comes into things. I don't think Jones has hired a new head coach that wasn't either forced or gently coerced into keeping existing coaches under contract.

If you are going to hand over the keys, the coach should have free reign to do what is best for him and his needs.

I hire John Gruden, aka Chucky, and let him hire or fire anybody he wants to.

Red is here friends to stay
Regardless of performance?

I imagine the other 31 head coaches are pretty pissed that they actually have to produce wins to keep their job and Garrett stays regardless.

Its kinda like that coworker that everybody knows that keeps getting promoted because they are such a brown noser with the boss, even though other people have better qualifications.

Yea, we all know somebody like that at our workplace...............that's Garrett to a T.

Just for drill I'll reply we both know we're only here to make our point not to listen.

Inside the operation people know that Red has made a sea change of the coaching organization.
Garret is very fortunate to have the Arkansas gambler as his boss. Other organizations wouldn't
have that much rope to let out, I agree. It's trying learning by trail and error to home brew while
a million or more people are watching and pushing for wins.

Jerry became beat down I my view from hiring, firing and failing. He made this commitment
come hell or high water. He believes in Garrett thats obvious and personally I do also.
Garrett has got something when your in his presence and he's smart and leads men to work
hard for the team.

Lots of board members want the old school tough coach and Garrett isn't that. He reasons
with his club and it looks like to me the players and coaches buy into it. Jerry and Stephen certainly do.

I'm' close too certain Garrett has this contract to show satisfactory results.

You just proved my entire point.

All the attributes you listed, such as Garrett making sea changes, people believing in him, people are at awe in his presence, he is smart, he leads men to work hard, the players buy into him, the coaches buy in to him, Jerry and Steven buy into him, ect...

Where did you list the most important part of being a professional coach, winning games?

You just proved my point that Garrett is not being judged on team performance like every other coach is, the long list of attributes you listed proves that.

Let's not pretend like there aren't plenty of good options out there
Yes..

but who is going to allow Jerry to call the shots and mess up what they want to do?

Lets be honest..HC and assistants who have left here don't get rehired after leaving.

They end up back in college or retired.

Parcells. Switzer. Johnson..Campo

only Phillips succeeded in Denver and after he passed thru Houston first.

Assistants like Davis, Turner, Wannstead bounced around the league.

Sean Peyton was the only successful guy from Dallas and he really was a Giant/Parcells project..

not Dallas.

So I have no idea.

Beast I was trying to give some acknowledgment to the reality of the situation. It's not a black and white situation we all find ourselves in.
I do see process and whatever you see I can't address as I dont live inside your head.

I believe that day by the day method Garrett believes in is somewhat fail proof if the person in charge has the goods to deliver.
So proving points for me is can Garrett bring all these pieces together and get us consistently in the play offs. It's been too *+#* slow.
I just think Garrett's got the goods to lead today's generation of football players toward championship football.
