Aikman's popularity with Cowboys FANS has gone down since he became an announcer because he's too objective for their liking. Some think he no longer likes the Cowboys. Lol Everyone wants him to cheerlead for the team like Micheal Irvin does during preseason telecasts.

completely wrong....His analysis is what bothers me...he always states the obvious like we are football stupid...listen to collinsworth break plays down...and you will see a big difference...has nothing to do with bias for or against us.

I've never seen an announcer receive the amount of abuse Buck receives from this fan base especially during live game chats when he and Aikman are doing the Cowboys game. Some of the things that are said about Buck are so vicious that if the same thing was said about a poster on this board they would have their account terminated. Jean-Jacques Taylor asked on Twitter awhile back why so many hate Joe Buck. Can't imagine him having the position he does as part of the #1 broadcasting team and having the privilege to work all the other events he does if the hatred he receives here was National. It amazes me how disliked he is. Can't really put my finger on what irks so many about him.

His analisis is what bothers you but many here are bothered by the fact that he refuses to come off like a Cowboys FAN. I know for a fact because many on this board have complained that he's too harsh on the team and that he's turned his back on the organization. lol I've seen this many times on the board because it's been a big topic of discussion here in the past. One FAN cried that Troy doesn't love the Cowboys anymore. :rolleyes: He's paid to be objective not cheerlead for the team.

Nepotism? Isn't his daddy someone?

All I know is I can see the lustful adoration in his sparkling eyes everytime he looks at Troy. His heart skips a beat, and he can't wait to get home and write about it in his journal.

I'm sure his daddy helped get his foot in the door but if he didn't have the ability to announce he wouldn't have the position he does. Buck has an arrogant, cocky way about him but he is a good announcer.

I'm sure there's many on board with you but doubt they're going to be real candid about the team because they're paid not only to call the game but to be very supportive of the team. If they think Garrett is doing a poor job of coaching they'll be keeping that to themselves. Personally, I would rather here honest opinions from those who aren't getting paid to cover the Cowboys. The problem with Cowboy FANS is they think any harsh opinion of the team is bent on dislike for the origination. A couple of years ago Michael's and Collinsworth were being labeled Cowboy haters for some comments they made about the team during a Sunday Night telecast.

Obvious, simply blatant bias for one. And Jean-Jacques Taylor is part of that same boat.

To each his own, Id much rather hear a Cowboys oriented broadcast anyday....of course they come across as homers, just like any other teams' radio announcers as they should, but its not like theyre sittin around sayin "Jerry is the man and he can do no wrong, and by association, Garrett also!" .....


and anybody is better than Troy "oh I better not appear to be sympathetic to the Cowboys" Aikman or Joe "I hate the Cowboys but have to pretend to hide it for my job's sake" Buck......
