Claiborne was great in coverage what are you talking about. It's easy to say will Garcon could have caught it but that's speculation......Garcon didn't catch it and it was turnover in downs

No, he actually wasn't. You hear the broadcaster saying "Mo looks different" and your assuming he's playing great. He got flagged for holding because of poor technique and should have gotten called for at least two other ones.

I'd wager money when PFF comes out with its coverage statistics it'll show Mo's giving up catches at a high percentage.

And as bad/rusty as he's looked he's head and shoulders better than Hitchens, especially in coverage.
I think he has to be on the field. Hitch is out of position too much. Durant was a playmaker two years ago and showed some signs of that again late.

Yes he is. In the limited amount of snaps he played, he sure made an impact.

That was the worst holding call I've seen in years. PFF is a tool, but they blow on the secondary because they grade without the All 22.

You are totally wrong. That hold call was bs and you know it. I seen with my eyes, I don't need someone telling me. Claiborne had multiple break ups in the endzone.

Keep hating though

Claiborne was never as bad as fans who were mad because he didn't meet their unrealistic early expectations made him out to be.

He struggled learning the defense because he missed a lot of reps, and he struggled with pressing big WRs early. But he's been ok most of his career here, and has gradually gotten better. So far, it's really early, but he's playing really well this year. Today in particular he played great.

I believe calpoly's point was that Mo still likes to grab when he loses position. But Mo was still best corner on team today which is a bit of damning praise for this team.

Every CB in the league will tug a jersey from an angle where they think the refs can't see it. That first holding call was garbage. The non-call that should have been called was him getting away with it b/c the receiver shielded the ref's view. That's pretty much SOP in the league.

You're right, PFF is a tool you can use to help inform what you're seeing on the field. Mo's been a horrible, not average, but horrible CB in his first four years and PFF's grading supports that.

I don't think he's played nearly as well as some would like to believe (at least thus far) and I'm willing to bet PFF's numbers will reflect that too.

Claiborne had so many tugs of the jersey - he was lucky he did not get called on them

I saw one, and I am not counting the one he got called for. What you're saying is he looked a lot like Josh Norman.
