May well have been that he dropped appeal so as not to be cut by the team.
Possibly what he and his agent and the team discussed when he came to VR a week or so ago.

If he came back week 5 but couldn't play that puts all sorts of pressure on this roster.
If he comes back week 15 you can probably just make him inactive and live with it two games.

I have already moved on from Gregory. This guy even when he returns is a ticking time bomb ready to do it again. Those that are holding out hope for this guy will be disappointed.

I don't think they'll ever really be able to count on him for much of anything going forward.

He can pull it together and come back and somehow contribute in future years, it's just bonus at this point.
