Undisputed - Skip: Dak vs Wentz vid

Watched this on TV this morning. Skip whipped out some great stats about Dak that I didn't know about. He's 2nd in the entire league in QBR (20 points better than Wentz), Cowboys lead the league in 3rd down conversions, Cowboys lead the league in offensive efficiency.

Can't believe how lucky we are to have Dak. Even if Tony comes back and takes over, our future is extremely bright!

At this rate, our future is NOW! Romo can sit and watch.

He also highlighted how Wentz is greatly aided by a phenomenal defense, while Dak has been carrying the team on his shoulders, more or less. And THAT cannot be emphasized enough, as @gmoney112 eloquently pointed out in last week's Dak vs. Carson thread.

I was very happy that Skip went there, all these hot-take blowhards (whom I love) overlook Carson's amazing D and continuously point out all of Dak's "weapons," completely ignoring nuance to how that youngster (Carson) has so much less on his shoulders (not to take anything from Wentz, dude is legit... but he does have a great D helping relieve the stress of playing catch up, something Dak had to do his first two games -- yesterday, not so much).

Say what you want about Skip, but he sticks with his guns and is one of our loudest advocates (ulterior motives be damned).

I feel like I comment in these Skip threads way too much :)

Skip is a moron who panders to Cowboys fans so they can watch his idiotic show, he's not a fan, he's looking for a ratings boost from Cowboys fans.
Thanks man. I was wondering about the perspective of the rest of the division.

thanks for the video....Skip absolutely destroys Shannon in this debate. leading the league in 3rd down effiency is always a good thing.

I didn't watch the Eagles yesterday but I was kind of laughing at the highlights the networks would show. The amazing play that makes the highlight reel is Wentz throwing a dumpoff to Sproules and then watching him pick up 60 yards of RAC. Not exactly a Wow play for a QB.

Also if there is even a discussion of which QB is better it means Dallas wins the argument. We got a franchise QB for a comp 4th rounder, the Eagles gave up the farm for Wentz. If Wentz is a franchise QB, he had better be because the Eagles gave up two #1s, a #2, a #3 and a #4 to get him.

lol. So Shannon says Wentz is better because he has MORE pressure being the #2 overall pick. Get real. Pretty sure the PRESSURE comes from opposing teams defenses. Carson's on the field..."I have to make this play, I am under so much pressure being where I was picked." Instead of..."The defense is lined up here...there, etc."

As for Eagles/Steelers game, the majority of Wentz passes were screen plays. Short passes.

I agree that Dak has more pressure.

He has to fill Romo's shoes, be coached by Jason Garrett, and all of this at the highest profile sports job in America which is the Cowboys QB.

And if Dak had a short screen or dump off to a check down that somehow managed to go to the house, there would be those that would say that it was as much the receiver as it was Dak. Because they're looking at PHI's boxscore, those short passes with huge YAC don't show up. They just show a huge chunk of passing yds for Wentz.

Wentz is incredible -- jumping in the 2016 season on such a short whim can't be overlooked, commanding the huddle and changing plays at the line of scrimmage like a 4 year pro -- but dude has had a rock-iron defense to back him up. And mind you, Dak also had to step in on a whim and take the reigns. Not much different than Carson. Only, Dak has a shaky defense backing him up, that lives by the bend-don't-break mantra. Huge contrast.

its a pretty dumb downed offense for Wentz, but to his credit he has thrown some deep passes only to have his wr drop some of them.

He's demonstrated elite touch on the intermediate to long routes through his first three games, but Dak showed it in the preseason, as well as last night on that pass to Butler in the endzone.

Another of those little things you see in Dak that tell you he will be a great QB in time, I loved it last night when he got his first TD on a sneak.

When he went into the scrum Collinsworthless starts yelling "Wow, did you see that hit on Prescott! What a hit by the Bears Corner!!"

Then you watch the reply and the corner takes a long running start to hit Dak, who is stationary at the line of scrimmage. Does Dak get knocked backwards? No, he moves a few inches sideways and then moves ahead for the score. It was a massive hit in the same way that a 747 takes a massive hit when a pigeon gets sucked into an engine.

Skip was born and raised in Cowboys country and eventually lived in Dallas for 17 years, and when they were highly successful.
Of course he's a huge Cowboy's fan.
