Dez is like a giant baby who runs fast and catches a lot of footballs. This is what you get with him. It's annoying, but it's not really that much of a big deal in the scheme of things with the exception of the hurdle it posed for him coming up to speed in the offense.

How many sets of rules are there for different people? Not a small deal either. Doesnt take much to damage a locker room.

Wrong. It is or should be a big deal when the owner and head coach basically lied to cover up his immaturity all week. A winning NFL team shouldn't have time for this.

It is an unnecessary distraction.

The Rookie QB being a leader and sending Dez a message?

If so, wow.

Dez we will win without you, so get your head on straight.

Dak's quote:

"I don't really pay attention to who I'm throwing to I just go through my reads, whoever's open gets the ball. So I mean hope gets well, is well really, really soon, but it doesn't really affect this offense."

Ask yourself what would Belichick do?

Not really wrong. This is the kind of thing that guys like you love to bellyache about, but at the end of the day, the fact that Dez didn't show for and MRI, got fined for it, and ended up missing a meeting amounts to him missing a meeting in the lead up to SF. A distraction, ok, but a minor one.

In two weeks, nobody will remember it. And if anybody asked the players about it now, they're not going to care. Dez comes with some personality issues, period. The team knew that when they signed him and they signed him anyway. Episodes like this are going to happen his entire career and, when they're said and done, they're not going to amount to anything but a bunch of hot hair on a Wednesday afternoon.

Ask Jimmy about how many sets of rules he had for different players. Asked what he'd do if it was Troy sleeping in a meeting and not John Roper, he said 'ask if he wanted a pillow.' At the same time, he left Irvin to fly commercial home when he wasn't ready for the team plane.

Something like Dez not wanting to get an MRI and getting fined for it is going to have 0 effect on this locker room. This team loves Dez, and they get that he's wired a bit different from other players. This will be chalked up to 'Dez being Dez' and, other than the fine (which he deserves), it'll amount to nothing.

I'll say it again, the Cowboys would be smart to divorce themselves from Dez Bryant ASAP.

wouldn't bother me a bit, I'm sick of the team being held hostage by guys like this and was why I was pissed they gave into his fits and didn't force him to play under the franchise tag last year. IMHO, his contract should have the illusion of longevity but the flexibility to allow the team to release him at the end of any year and PLEASE don't restructure his contract.

It appears they may have had similar thoughts when they did his contract because if I am understanding the terms correctly, he could be released at the end of 2017 and they'd have 8 million in dead money

Whoa! Give him credit for going back in the game and not taking the easy way out and sitting on the bench. He may not have thought that he was injured, given the fact that he played the entire game on his hurt knee. You can't say he's just collecting a check.

Idgit is right. It's not really a major issue. People who hate Dez will use this to justify their hate. Let's ignore that Dez rushed back last year and played on a broken foot. And let's ignore that he played last weekend with a broken knee. Not many players in the league give as much as Dez gives. We have a thread where people are ripping Dez for trying too hard to get every yard he can.

Waiting an extra day to get an MRI didn't change the results of the MRI or the time frame of his recovery.
Dez isn't perfect...but the team knows that and he is still worth it...

Now back to the regular negativity and Dez rip fest.
