I don't know if Romo survives that game

Said it from day 1....Romo will get blitzed into retirement. Maybe it's the routes we run...or maybe he holds on the ball to long...but teams will test to see if he can move and/or get rid of the ball....for the record...I would do the same thing.
Romeo would have are up those blitzes let's be honest

If there's no confidence that Romo can get through a single game, then there's no sense in him trying to come back at all.

I don't feel that way yet.

Romo would survive the game and Dallas wouldn't have needed OT to win if he had played. Dak has a preternatural ability to manage games for a rookie, but he is still a rookie. Romo would have beaten the Philly blitzes a lot earlier in the game and changed Philly's strategy.
I remember a few years ago that some team, I don't remember what team it was, blitzed almost every down and we were destroyed. Tony could not beat the blitz. I think Romo would have been put in a stretcher this game.

The thing about using hypotheticals is you can never be wrong. lol

Would Romo have been hurt? Maybe, maybe not. Would he have had a big game? Maybe, Maybe not. Playing these what if games is all well and good but the truth it none of us know how it would have played out.

the eagles were getting home last night a majority of the time because dak was confused and held the ball, he was late on almost every throw last night.

Romo in the pocket would have ID'd a number of those blitzes and delivered the ball on time. There were some huge missed plays yesterday because the ball was late.

and I am not sure which game you are talking about but Romo has had games just like this where he didn't have protection and took a beating and hung in there and won the game. That 2012 tampa game was brutal, 2011 dolphins game.

the 2014 eagles game where Romo physically was not up to the challenge of the game he got pressure on him all day and threw the ball almost exactly like Dak did yesterday, late, behind or short because of the pressure and we lost.

Romo 36, multiple injuries, would be in a stretcher today. Book that.

he would have been fine. In fact there would have been no overtime had Romo played.

Right because Romo's never lost to philly? It's fine if you want Romo to start but why do this? How do we know the infinite amount of circumstances and reactions if you insert Romo into that game? We could have won by 21, lost by 21 or anything in between.

Man, I want him back. Glad it wasn't last night though.

I see defenses from here in out trying to take Romo out.

It's going to take a small miracle for him to survive when he comes back.

Romo SuperBowl 51 MVP

He'd be fine. He's yet to die in a game thus far in his career

In a real personal way.

I need all the stars to align perfectly and this dude rides off into the sunset with sb win.

Living in ny it's rough watching Eli get two.

I only need one for validation for him and for me.
This was the first game where it was obvious that had we had a 100% non-rusty Romo, we would have won going away. The game was much more difficult than it needed to be. It was almost an impossible win. Dak is a winner, but I'll say it again: Ive seen Romo throw 5 interceptions in a game before, but I have NEVER seen Romo have such poor accuracy as Dak has last night.

because I watched throw after throw missed, easy td's to Dez missed. I don't know what would have happened but Romo and dez are pretty great in the red zone and Romo is extremely accurate. Dak was confused like most young qbs will be against a good defense that is aggressive and he was throwing late.

I love that Dak is winning games. That game would have never been in question and would have not needed an overtime win if Tony was playing.

No, I won't book anything you say but thanks for the response.
Going back to 2014, Romo has been getting injured on a regular basis. He's getting injured because he's not getting rid of the ball and taking unnecessary hits. He does make big plays at the expense of taking bad hits. And now after 10 years, it's caught up with him. He's made of glass right now and any major hit to Romo could be his doom. I guess you'd love seeing Romo in a wheel chair the rest of his life.

Nah, with the way Philly was defending, it would have been a mirror image of the 2014 game at Philly. Romo would have eviscerated them. Dak is still a rookie, he has a ways to go to reach that level.

yes you are exactly right. He is a made of glass nobody who got lucky and I can't wait to see him in a wheelchair. that is exactly what I said. thanks for clarifying.

I'm saying, it's like no one cares about the long term health of Tony Romo. His fans say their his fans, but they're willing to sacrifice him for the sake of a game. I think the fact that Dak is doing good is actually saving Romo from himself.
