Dak: "This is Romo's Team"

..not that anyone within the organization or anyone that understands football needed a reminder.

Maybe more importantly, and definitely more creepily, we now know who the attractive girl with the tape recorder in the Cowboys locker room is: Kathryn Dunn. Also, thanks for the sound bite from Dak. He's in a tough spot, but he's been pretty consistent with his take.

What's he suppose to say? Seriously, do you think he is going to say this is his team? Media would be all over that

Nah, this same question has been handled a lot worse in locker rooms all over the NFL for decades. The easiest answer to give is 'it's not my decision, I just do whatever the team needs.' It's a nice hat-tip to everything Tony's done for this team over the years that Dak goes beyond that. Plus, it costs him nothing to say it. If the organization wants Dak, it's Dak's team, period.

It's funny all the players are saying how much chemistry they have and how hard they pay for each other.......without Romo as starter. They even said it's something they have never seen before.

But yet some want to think it's still Romo team

I love this man so much. He never backs down from any question. He looks you dead in the eye.

The Cowboys are even preparing him to deal with the media and he's passing with flying colors. He definitely does this better than Tony and I'm a Romosexual.

Prescott handled that question-and-answer nonsense exceptionally well. I don't see the media tripping him up. Ever.

The made up controversy will run it's course. Unfortunately however long that might take will cause future interview questions (and their interviewers) to become that much more progressively dumber worse. Hope the entire team deals with the foolishness as well as Prescott did here.

I'm willing to bet every one of those players believes Tony is a part of the team and a big part of the chemistry. I've yet to see even a whiff of a schism in the locker room over who the QB is. I've only seen it from the fans, who for whatever reason aren't content to just play the hand as it comes and see what happens.

Bit of a reach there Skip.
Yeah I agree with you, that is a little bit of a reach. Maybe what they're talking about as far as chemistry is the fact that Romo is helping Dak and there's no animosity between them. Romo and Dak are setting the examples of how to be good team mates and everyone is paying attention and following their lead.

I was just about to post this. A lot of players use the "It's not my decision" comment in response. Dak knows the bottom line is it is the team's decision and no matter what he says or does not say, it will not change that. At this point, this team is still Tony's team. Now, when Tony is healthy (not just active, but healthy) and Dak remains the starter, then it will be Dak's team.

As long as there are fools there will be foolishness. "...and it don't stop."

Agree. That's why I love football and team sports in general. It does things that society is incapable of doing.

The thing about him is I bet he truly believes it is Romo's team, he is a humble guy. I do not believe there's any rivalry there from his perspective. He just does what the team asks if it's go to the bench he'll be fine with it if it's keep playing fine. It's not his job to decide if it's his job, it's his job to make others decide it's his job.

Yea usually players are really down on each their during a 6 game win streak

I think it is a team and guys are playing hard for one another. When Dak made the bad mistake throwing the Int it was Romo there to talk with him. I don't think when players are talking about chemistry that they are referring to Dak vs Romo but how this team has each others back. I think the issue between Dak and Romo is a fan problem not a team problem.
