I don't disagree with you. But sometimes emergency situations make you desperate. I think as the Cowboys get closer to the No. 1 seed and the real possibility that they need to win just one game to get to the NFC Championship, they'll be more willing to bend their RKG approach.

But, here again, I don't know how the coaches feel about this. I'm just assuming they would entertain this because Jerry Jones seems open to allowing Ro to rejoin the team.

Absolutely he could be another piece in puzzle that puts us over the top. I don't like what he has done ,but if he can come back an play like he can we are in a win win situation.

I think the two stories coincide. The team has been making noise about protecting team chemistry as the basis for not allowing Romo to compete...but then turns around and hints that they might be into bringing back a drug-abusing linebacker who can't even be bothered showing up for TC or practice. Something isn't computing...
Good point. I agree with that. I guess my bias towards our defense being possibly better heading into playoffs has me looking the other way.

I'm with you, I don't think I'd want him or the baggage he's brings back. This sounds to me like the maneuverings of a guy who wants to keep as much of his money as he can and little more.

Right...The guy is another Drug Doper just like Mr. Hardy and Mr. Gregory. Pass!!!

At times it seems like Garrett is in charge (witness Dak retaining his job)....then there are times like this...where we are thinking about allowing Rolondo McClain back on a team that is 8-1...and I realize that Jerry is STILL the primary shot caller!!!!

Just imagine being JJ and you know your defense can get a boost and needs it. He is thinking SB this year all the way. This is the kind of stuff you haft to live with either way. All those big decisions at the end of the day are so hard. If I owned the team these kinds of things would have me stressed so bad. Should I shouldn't I.

Yeah, give Ro another chance to play after he's repeatedly failed you Jerrah, but don't give the face of your franchise even a chance to compete. You are going to screw this season up somehow Jerrah.

I would rather him than Gregory if I had to pick. Least Mcclains made plays. Both guys are trouble though

Slowly work him in I guess. We will need all hands on deck. After that dont resign him.

lol as opposed to those playing for love of the game and to see children smile?

Exactly.

Or maybe I made that remark since Ro has always tried to dodge practicing since he's been here, and has been suspended two times since joining us. There's a reason why we only give him one year deals, and no other team had serious interest in him before he ended up re-signing here twice.

He got a huge contract from the draft, and didn't play close to his ability at times.

The dude retired at the age of 23. Sure, I'm not expecting every player to be mature entering the league, but his track record is obvious, to me, that football isn't his #1 priority at times. We are talking about a guy who could of been a Willis clone, but didn't have it all upstairs to reach that level.

So, yea, I think he wants to come back solely for the money. Not for the team, or to win, just solely to collect some more money before even the Cowboys don't want him anymore. Some players play for the money, which I have no issue with and at least they show up and do the right things in order to keep on getting paid.

If he's in shape, and willing to play hard for his teammates, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about him. I was happy about his play when he filled in for Lee. However, these antics over practice, showing up out of shape and getting suspended twice leaves a bad taste in my mouth. However, I don't think he's in game shape and wants to be on the active roster while he skips practice and slowly gets the rust off. By then, maybe he could contribute in the playoffs, unless he drinks that purp drink again.

We have a group of guys who work their butt off, and it'll be a shame if we cut someone in order to hope that Ro will care enough to play at the 2014 level to help us on defense.

I think they kept him around for financial reasons and the ability to get the highest amount of their money back.
I'm pretty sure you're correct on that. I think we'll probably see where he is waived next week...just my guess.

Jerry's quote in the OP sure makes it sound like he still has his rose-colored glasses on in regards to McClain and Jaylon lol...
Well, the intrigue in his answer is that he could have been saying "yes" regarding one, but not necessarily both. We may see J Smith practicing next week and an announcement that McClain has been waived. I absolutely do not believe that McClain will be back with the team...ever.

He is one of Jerry's Kidz now.....don't count anything out......Jerry has mixed notions of loyalty, family and second chances into some weird nostalgic mutation.......he can't just cut guys like McClain, DMC, Brent, Randle, Hayden, Free......etc
