Outside of Seattle, or KC in the SB, we won't see another D that good in the playoffs. Another one bites the dust. We needed this type of game IMO.

Wade brings defenses to a whole another level in playoffs..

I think Minnesota may be better. No stats to prove it. Just eye test. Again on a neutral field we probably score a lot more

Or even a ticky tack hold on Free on the Zeke run, or the weakest hands to the face I've ever seen on the Int!

Apologies, I seemed to recall he was injured in Arizona, but he was actually shifted around on that team because of injuries to other positions and never really found a spot to achieve dominance and he never fulfilled his promise for his draft spot. The Cardinals let him go as an unrestricted Free agent.

He played their six years and never sniffed the pro bowl until Dallas with Romo.. Dallas was seen as a place he could potentially resurrect a career that has a lot of promise that didn't pan out..

And the pro bowls he and guys like Gurode achieved here were because of hype and Romo.. Romo still took beatings with them and it was his ability to keep plays alive that obscured how average they were..

Like I said, what Dak is working with, compared to what Romo had including play calling is absolutely like night and day and it's an absolute insult to him to compare the two..

I feel so bad for Romo. Not only did he get absolutely destroyed most of his career, but he never get any help from the refs either. I may be mistaken, but I think he's only been called for three roughing-the-passers. That's incredible. We build the best line in the league and his body is just shot from being abused all those years. It's a tragedy. It's just heartbreaking.

And you are correct, neither Davis nor Gurode were that good. Gurode could not even make the line calls.

Dak had his hands in the snap and Frederick put it right in his hands.. that being said, its actually a better teaching moment for Dak, which he has shown he learns from. What seems to be certain are not always certain and you always got to keep focus..
My old offensive line coach used to tell me, "If you snap the ball clean AFTER feeling the quarterback's hand in the crack of your you-know-what AND the ball hits the ground, turn to the quarterback and tell him to open his you-know-what hands!" :laugh:I am glad he didn't have to say that often during practices though.:)

Their were some times with San Diego when he didn't, and here. ;)

He forces Brady into 5 INTs in the playoffs and if the safety didn't fumble the fifth pick in FG territory for Brady, SAN Diego would have had that SB most probably with 63 sacks that year..

He beat Brady last year too and he has no offense.. his defensive game plan against Cam is being repeated by defenses today and Cam isn't the same..

Wade is the mastermind of defense bro.. if there is anybody that can find a chink in armor, it's this guy..

But even Wade can't save a defense with Garrett as OC.. nor can Romo as a QB.. :)

I assume since Dez got his foot in the placement of the ball doesn't matter.......one foot or one nose of the ball

If his foot hit OB then the ball would have to go inside the pylon?

I just always remember the middle of the field being wide open, but maybe that was just Barry Church! :)

This is the kind of game Irvin wanted us to have except he said we needed a loss to refocus.

Dak showed me toughness today, I'm proud of him. Like I said I'm just concerned with our passing offense right now. In the playoffs we'll need more. If we don't make at least the NFC championship this season is a failure IMO.
I think that if this was a playoff game the offense would have attacked differently. I really think that the game plan for tonight was dusted off from last year's Casell/Weeden fiasco. It was very conservative much like last year. It was disappointing at the approach, but I was more concerned at how the team came out with out much emotion, almost looked like not prepared. But sometimes you win games ugly, and you know, they count like a pretty win.....

11-1, be happy and enjoy it!

A win is a WIN in my book. Nothing to be ashamed of, or disappointed in. Went into one of the most hostile environments, one that we had not won in since 1995, and pulled out a victory. Major accomplishment! We are 11-1. No one else can say that in the NFL.
