Carson Wentz, horrible

Not a fan of Wentz, but you're saying Aikman was "clutch" after he put the Cowboys on his back going 0-11as a rookie in 1989?

Aikman was on a historically bad team, which is what the Cowboys had the #1 pick and drafted him. All I'm saying is that Wentz has regressed severely after playing exceptionally well the 1st 3 weeks. I see that as a very bad sign for him. He another horrible game again today, probably his worst o f the season. Time will tell.

Wentz has only had two games with a QB rating over 80 twice in his last 7 games

In this day and age (passing era) how many of today's top qbs (Brady, Brees, Romo, Roeth, Flacco, Rivers, Eli, etc. Etc) looked poor on decent teams in their first season and turned it around? Even Cousins in his first year showed some promise, winning games I believe when RG3 went out with injury. Even the recent stars like Carr, Winston, Newton, looked good in their first seasons, even if it wasn't as successful as Dak.

He sure does look pretty while he regresses, at least.

I don't doubt the guy can (and probably will) improve. But right now, he's got problems with both his mechanics and his decision making. One series today he had a ball batted down, and threw a dangerous pass into double coverage the he was fortunate not to have gotten picked. The commentator immediately launched into a glowing review of his play this year right over the top of it. I have no idea what they're seeing that I'm not.

The same thing goes for all the talk about him putting his team on his back. If that team is on his back, I'm not sure where he's taking them, exactly. Into the ditch, I guess. From my experience, putting a team on your back is supposed to mean winning games without a lot of help and not back to back to back double-digit losses in which you fail to score more than 15 point each week.

did you actually post that, if so major props...otherwise, I call shenanigans.

Gabe came to the board because of Dak, IIRC. He wasn't a Cowboys fan prior to us picking up Dak, so he's probably telling the truth that he thought he was the best QB in the draft, too. Which explains his posting style quite a bit.

Yep. He is losing that most important of things...Confidence. The Eagle Front Office didn't do him any favours by throwing him to the wolves. With a couple years to learn something he might have been...ah average.
