If Romo starts it has to be for the rest of the season/playoffs. You can't go back and forth unless Tony gets hurt.
and that's just it. i get dak looked bad. he did. but every single qb out there in this league has at one point or another looked horrible.

but we can't swap qb's around like running backs and people seem to forget that cause they must win. now. period.

I can't for the life of me understand why we are asking this question right now. How do we take it serious? Dak is the QB.
Are we gonna be one of those teams that keeps changing at every whim?
Dak should easily remain at qb, until a few crap games consecutively

so the answer is even though for 10 games he looked league MVP. but the last (2) he has not so we focus on the last 2 and ignore the 10.

makes sense. not sure in which world, but makes sense to someone i suppose.

My point is the coaching staffs lack of confidence in Dak is resulting in vanilla game plans that are handcuffing him. Looks like they are looking for any excuse to get Romo in the game and that's not fair to Dak or the team. They are not asking Dak to win games they are asking him not to loose them. Take the handcuffs off. Let him play to win.

oh my friggin lord. if the coaching staff lacked confidence in dak he would not be here much less starting and for damn sure romo would have been back as soon as he was able.

the crap people make up is just astounding at times.

Was the game plan vanilla or not in your opinion and if so why if the coaching staff has so much confidence in him ? Garrett n Linehan need to take a dump or get off the pot the media are going to stone you either way. Take Daks handcuffs off or play Romo but decide and make it quick.

I did want Romo to come in at some point during the second half, more to light a spark under the team...not really expecting much...

If Dak plays like trash for the remainder of the regular season AND we lose all of those games, then you can think about it.

Right now, the Monday after a loss, is not the right time to make this decision. If you make the switch, there's no going back. Dak has earned the right to step up after a loss like this.

dunno - but everything you're saying you're pretending it's fact. you make up what you think you see then put it on the coaches as if they actually *DO NOT TRUST DAK*.

don't care about the rest of your manufactured drama, that's a crap statement.

That pitch play on 3rd and 11 was pretty telling. Now I'm willing to entertain the thought that the coaches thought Zeke may pick it up, but we weren't exactly running very well at that point either.

But last night's game was not the first time a gap blitzing tight corner coverage game plan has confounded a Dallas offense.

I voted yes. I have felt that Romo should have been starting all along, as I thought that he was the best QB and would provide the team with the best chance to win and go far in the playoffs. I can and could completely understand keeping Prescott in the lineup, but I have remained consistent in my voting all the way through. Prescott hit a pothole this week - now we will get to see what kind of quarterback he will be by his response to this. I think he's level headed enough to focus on good preparation, and correct a number of the mistakes.

no we've got a lot to figure out that's for sure. it just amazes me people want to run to romo cause dak has had some rough outings. already spoiled by the 11 game winning streak to many it would seem.

I don't think its unrealistic to say if Dak struggles again then you make the switch back to Romo. When you have a QB as great as Romo as the backup, that's the luxury you have. You don't have to wait around until Dak "figures it out." Last year Denver made the switch back to Manning at the first sight of Brock struggling.

Having said all that, Dallas has the luxury of giving Dak another game. I fully expect Dak to put a good performance together to put this convo on ice for a bit. But if for some reason, he doesn't, then you make the switch. A loss against TB coupled with another NYG win, and your margin for error is gone and you cant wait around. Dak will no longer have the "hot hand" and it Romo will have his chance to show what he has.

I haven't gone back and re-watched that particular play but at the time I thought it may have been a half back option pass. Maybe someone has looked at the game again and checked whether anyone was running a delayed route pattern..?

But, Romo hasn't played in over a year. He's bound to be rusty.

I think the rusty argument is overblown. He played some in pre-season, he's practiced for awhile too. Reports from practice (whether you want to believe them or not) is that he's been sharp. And even if there's rust, I'd much rather take that over what we've seen from the offense the past 2 weeks. 24 points in 2 weeks is unacceptable.

But again, I still don't think it will come to this, Dak will rebound.
