Let's pump the brakes on Irving

While I agree he dominates the game last night and deserves a lot of credit in the win, his play is too inconsistent for me to anoint him the "Pass Rusher Supreme" just yet.

I hope he builds on this game, especially this time of year. Man it would be awesome if one of the DL, or the whole DL TBH, caught fire right before the playoffs. Irving just hasn't been the consistent threat we need yet. His good games are random right now, but I truly hope he turns the corner.

Well, he got more snaps because of the absence of Lawrence/Thornton. Maybe he just needs that. Everyone knows the guy hasn't been doing this all season. We won, and he played a big part. No need to pump anything. It's a happy day.

Last big game he had was the GB game. We thought then he had turned the corner and was ready to be a impact player. Then he all but disappeared. Last night he had a really good night against a ROT that was really struggling. So I agree, pump the brakes some with Irving. Let's see what he does next Monday night.

If he can play at half the level he played at last night consistently, its still better than the rest of the stiffs on the DL

He needs to play the edge more to see what he can do over the long haul.. it was a backup RT, but he then went and abused the rookie that benched the backup RT..

He was a man possessed last night.. maybe LT transferred his soul into him last night..

I hate that we will be making a contract decision on him at the end of the year. He will garner lots of attention on the open market.

Tell him going forward every team we're playing added "Bay" to their name. Detroit Bay, Philadelphia Bay etc. See if it's a pattern

You, sir, get the most ingenious retort of the day. Excellently witty.

enjoy his play, he stepped up on a bad line and put pressure on a good qb. Heck at this point he just showed Rod what pressure on a qb does, maybe that will change philosphy around here. You take a good game when you get it, stats never say "vs a good player or a bad player" So who cares. It secured a win either way.

He needs to be in there more. I don't care about him 'disappearing' for games, because there is not one guy that is consistent on the D-line that just make game-changing plays every game.
