Quote on Romo from Jean-Jacques Taylor ESPN Staff Writer

If Romo wasn't running for his life most of his career and had good defenses he wouldn't have to put up all those worthless stats to keep the team in the game

It sounds like an accurate assessment. I don't think JJT has an agenda to push. It's an observation from someone who follows the Cowboys closely and knows what's best for the team.

Romo has never been a "stat guy". Heck, he just voluntarily gave a speech saying Prescott deserves to be the QB. If he were a selfish player he wouldn't have done that. He's not Kobe Bryant...

"Prescott is the anti-Romo. His game is all about intangibles and winning -- not statistics"

Moron should get fired for such an idiotic statement.

I agree with his remarks. It took Dak showing up on the scene for me to see the night and day contrast between Romo and real elite qb's.

That's legendarily moronic and short-sighted.

Where did you get this quote, btw?

This. Dak has 26TD's and only 4 INT's. He has the intangibles and the stats.
He's been great, but in all fairness, if you include the rushing TDs then you include the fumbles.
It's either 20 and 4 or it's 26 and 8....take your pick.
