JTT never said Romo wasn't interested in winning. Obviously nobody believes that. The quote needs to be put in context. His point was that Dak and Romo are very different in how they approach the game. Romo was more of a gunslinger who would make big plays and also big mistakes, whereas Dak looks to make fewer big plays but also fewer mistakes. Both approaches are valid as demonstrated by their records.

Similar to last night. Winston was the gunslinger. He made bigger plays and bigger mistakes and his team lost the game.
In time and with more experience Prescott will hit on many, many big plays and without all the mistakes. This boy will be unbelievable in 2 or 3 yrs and will have some SB rings before this career is over.

Some forget that Brady was little more than a game manager when he started and look at him now. lol
I see this boy as maybe the best QB coming out of College and starting ever. No way anybody can complain about his skills everything considered. He has been a real blessing for all Cowboy fans. That is not intended to take anything away from anybody else.

Guy is a freak, honestly. It's scary... really. He still has much work to do though.

His decision making has been phenomenal, especially for a rookie. Dak's brain may be his strongest asset.

JTT is a tool. So it doesnt surprise me he says something so idiotic about Romo. But for some of you to think that Romo was about stats and not winning is just beyond me. Because I'm sure he was thinking about stats playing through a herniated disc, broken ribs. broke back, broke collerbone, broke finger. That is just asinine thinking.

Ranks 9th in the NFL in total air yardage
Another phony stat, especially since so many teams (except for us) run tons of screens, which are short/horizontal passes by design and not indicative of when a quarterback is actually surveying the field but choosing to check down.

Of course, it's funny that someone even needs to look at any stats after yesterday's game, which was by far our most dink and dunk game of the year. Didn't even try a single go route... pure dink and dunk.

Its a phony stat because it doesn't fit you agenda. Because teams throw screen passes sometimes lol

IMO Romo has always been about winning and doing what is right for this franchise. To put him down with a cheap shot like that is BS to me.
and look at the attention he is getting for it. ka-ching ka-ching.

Romo will never be given credit for his accomplishments in Dallas because he lacks post season success, its not fair but that is the way things work.
