I would play Dez on every snap including defense and special teams. See if they can get him focused.

It would suck for Elliott to not have a chance to break the record. That type of thing builds momentum.

we'll already be getting a week off to start the playoff......need to keep this squad warm, I think rest would do them more harm. Would also like to see Zeke get the rushing rookie record but obviously playoff success is a priority. I think playing starters the 1st half and then rotate depth players to finish. Win win IMO in that starters stay warm while getting some rest and depth players get exprience

I get wanting to rest players, but not fro that long. Maybe spell them a bit more.

But rest any player with nagging injuries.
Mo, DLaw, Durant, any others that fall into this category. Play Gregory to knock off any rust, get him into game shape.

he obviously isn't. We have what, 7 offensive linemen on the roster, maybe 8, not sure if Chaz Green is on IR or not, so we could not rest the entire o-line.

And what benefit is there to not study game tape of Detroit or Philly? If we knew who we'd play in the divisional round, I'd get why someone would say that. They'd be wrong, but at least there is a tangible benefit to shifting your focus to the playoffs, but considering the amount of moving pieces, the players would be in essence doing no studying of game film what so ever.

We'd easily get routed in the playoffs if we tried this.

This is the NFL and you want to go into the playoffs on a winning note. Ask Belichek if he worries about his guys getting hurt in the last couple of game in the regular season.

There's a balance between keeping rested and sharp for the playoffs. I think the starters play first half of Detroit game and then only a quarter of last game. But what do I know....

Last time we had a playoff bye we were not sharp enough.

I think the game is much more physical now. Teams with the bye have been locks to win in recent years

We are 2 games from the Super Bowl regardless of what happens the next 2 games and they need to coach like it.

I want to see Dak take more shots down field and I want to see our offense try some things that they normally wouldn't try.

Giving players weeks off with no game action would be a dumb move IMO. Starters have to play a bit in the last two games. Even Prescott, at least in the Lions game IMO. If you Prescott starting Monday that means he will go 3 weekends without seeing a live snap. That's not smart IMO.

What will happen is that Monday will played as a normal game except that those that are injured - no pressure to play. IF and big IF there was a blowout either way, Romo MAY come in at end for a Cowboy goodbye at home. Then on 1/1, many starters play a half, Zeke plays 2 series. Remember this team this year as not played well after extended time off. Though I am happy for a bye, it will force them to play starters longer to keep sharp.
