I want to win, you can win against lions and eagles if you rest key players.
No we can't. They will be playing all out to win. The Lions need every win they can get and the Eagles want momentum going into next year. Our backups won't be able to beat them.

change nothing, rest the injured, but play just as hard to win and improve. Keep the team sharp. Don't allow them to take the time off and go to Cabo, been there done that................
I don't think We'll ever forget that. Learn the lessons from 2007. This team hasn't won anything yet.

This is so stupid. If Dak had to come out in the playoffs would you put in Sanchez?
I'm not talking about in the playoffs...I'm talking the last two games of the season. At this point there is far less to gain than there is to lose, in this situation, by putting Tony in. If Tony plays even mediocre, then there will be another controversy (manufactured or otherwise). If he plays like garbage, which is just a likely, then any trade value he may have had is then gone. At this point in Tony's career, I doubt he needs many reps to come in and be serviceable, should Dak go down with an injury.

At the end of day, though, I'm not resting Dak at all. He needs all the reps he can get.

Go balls to the wall. No rest until the bye week.
Yes. Once you take your foot of the pedal, it's hard getting it going again. Just ask the Colts from a few years ago. They were so hot, rested guys and could never get that momentum back. They got knocked out in the first round.

So in week 17 against a ravenous eagles pass rush who would love nothing more than to kill our sb hopes by knocking out Dak you wanna keep him in the entire game? Nah. Romo needs to see real action game speed, he should get the whole 2nd half. And if you're afraid of Romo looking good and causing controversy or probably shows who should have been the qb anyway.

If they want to rest Dak, he can be "rested" by a heavier than normal run to pass ratio. And I'm not worried about Tony looking too good. I'm worried about the stupidity that will ensue if he even looks mediocre. And I'm worried about his trade value going to zero (where it may already be) if he stinks it up.

Lol okay. The chance of him stinking or looking mediocre are much lower than him lighting it up.

That's not why we don't want Romo to play. If the eagles are coming that hard at Dak what you think will happen to Romo?

Tony hasn't played sustained football in almost two years. The odds of him stinking and killing his trade value is just as high, if not higher than him lighting it up.

If they are coming that hard after Romo wouldn't it be better for the backup to get hurt than the starter?

Our backup QB is pretty good. I disagree with the OP, though.

The chance of him getting hit and career be done is high percentage too. If eagles are coming so hard to hurt Dak then Romo doesn't stand a chance

Our starter isn't a fragile 36 year old with multiple injuries. I see no reason to believe Dak would get hurt, we handled Philly before. He is a rookie and needs the experience.........you Romo lovers want Romo at any cost

Tony is a 14 year vet with more game experience in his pinky than our starter has in his body. He played last November for 2 games So thats nowhere near 2 years. And with him destroying our defense in practice practice the only people that think he will do bad are the ones who are afraid he will outplay the new shiny toy Dak.

Exactly. There is very little to gain by giving Tony emergency reps. There are too many things that can go against this team by playing him.
