Has Everyone Written Off Detroit?

Would love to see them win but won't believe they have a chance until the game is over and they walk out with a W

I don't get why, but they pretty much have.

I wasn't all that impressed with DET in our game, but then, I'm not very impressed by this version of the SEA team, either. It's likely SEA wins the home game, but far from a given. That's going to be a tough game for the Seahawks.

I think they have a shot. That O-Line in Seattle is swiss cheese. The Lions just have to keep it close enough and hope Stafford has the ball in the last 2 minutes with a chance to take the lead. Seattle couldn't even put away a SF team that everyone knew had a lame duck coach. This is far from a certainty and anyone who thinks it is going on the reputation of past Seattle teams.

no, mainly because Seattle isn't playing real well either. The Lions can win up there, this Seattle team is a mess on the o-line and their D, while good, is banged up and not the dominant unit it was from 2012-2014.

I wont completely write them off this week, but they have no shot at a Super Bowl....I think they are the definition of an average football team, but at the same time I don't think Seattle is anything special either. I'll take Seattle at home 24-20 this week, and I think both teams are eliminated in two weeks.

They have a chance. Seattle has looked like dog poo lately. They admitted a coaching blunder last week. They didn't realize that they had to win to cement the third seed. Pete Carroll admitted that he was worn out. They would have dropped to the 4 seed if they would have lost. I was wondering why they pulled Russell Wilson in the 4th quarter with plenty of time left and only a narrow lead.

I think they have, but hope they prove most people wrong.
Seattle has given up some points this year to a few teams. They also allowed like the 2nd most sacks in the NFL I think. So Detroit's D may get after Wilson a bit.

No Calvin Johnson
No Ndamukong Suh
No Nick Fairley

No chance this year

Detroit won one game by more than a touchdown, and lost 3 in a row to end the season. There was all the talk about Stafford with all his 4th-quarter comebacks, as if that's a good thing: what it really means is that you're not good enough to put anybody away. Sure, if they're very lucky, they can take down Seattle, and boy will I be rooting for that to happen. But it ain't likely.

In fairness to DET, they lost to DAL, NY, and GB. Those are three of the 4 best teams in the NFC right now. If they were playing any of them, or ATL, I wouldn't give them much chance, either. But they're playing a SEA team that eked out a needed win against a really bad SF team just last week. These two teams are on a par, talent wise right now. It's just the HFA that gives SEA the edge in this game, though that's significant.

If Detroit can create some turnovers hey have a shot. They get Slay back so that should help. Also Tate will want to look good and play hard against his old team.

Good point re: Tate.

I think it's very unlikely that Detroit will beat Seattle, but this is the NFL so you never know.

I never thought the Lions were for real. Go back and look at their schedule/games/scores That is a team that could have ended up with 11 losses very easily....They are done.

Babyhawks not playing well now.
If the game was in Detroit lookout.
Any given Sunday especially in the playoffs.
