If anyone's done any research on Jaylon Smith (and you should have if you're a real fan you animal), they know that he's not the type of guy to just completely lie like that. Guy is basically like how everyone wants their son to be, he's a good dude.

This is AWESOME news. Man, what a nice lunch break.

OK this is a positive development. The nerve has to regenerate before it can start firing. Some have pointed to the fact the nerve hasn't fired yet to claim the nerve must not be regenerating, so write this kid off, it's over.
Who's said that?

Then why didn't he?

I think most of this is for ratings and propaganda.

I'd rather not hear the term "firing" again. If he's on the field for training camp, awesome!

Until then, I'd rather Jaylon be invisible.

If the nerve is regenerating as he said and he could have played, I suspect the Cowboys have weighed the risk versus reward aspect here. Sure, he's a phenom talent, but what kind of impact can he have in key games after not playing football for a year and then weigh that impact against injury risk?

There are a few idiots I locked horns in here saying what a waste of a pick and his nerve will never fire and the kid will never see the field ever again. So many Dr's here at the zone that know more than Jaylon and GOD. :lmao:

Name dropper,,, :p

If all of that is accurate, then you're absolutely right. It became a risk/reward decision and the staff erred on the side of caution. Sounding like we'll get a good look at his talent in a few months.

Yeah and you can only bring one guy back right? Smith or Collins? Given what he's coming back from, I think that's a no brainer. Let him take this offseason and come show out in camp.

Maybe this is good news for next season but the idea of him in these playoffs needs to be shelved. I'm praying for the young man but he is not coming off IR.

Jaylon will be the mike in the nickel if there is a such thing. In the 4-3 he's a slb. He can't take the pounding of a MLB. Go watch his film and not highlight videos.

cup is half full...........I'd bet he is better than Carp was at his best right now......

Carpenter was a former 1st round pick by Parcells with no instincts for the LB position.....total waste of a #1
