Hey, it's a low limbo bar of expectation to beat out Lucky Whitehead.

Agreed -- that was my first thought from the outset. I'm tickled to see this team isn't standing pat on their success this year. It's a very good sign. They're not letting any grass grow under their feet, that's for doggone sure. They're beating the bushes for talent. Certainly not all the time but every now and then, you can come up with a bigtime winner that way. Ah lak it a lawt! :)

I'd put McDuffie's resume up there against anything Whitehead has done.

What does this even mean? One player had to mess around in Canada and get very little interest from NFL teams in the meantime. The Jets worked him out in November and passed.

I am no Lucky Whitehead fan. But get serious for a second. This player is going to have to prove it. Despite the resume you apparently are impressed with.

It is the same thing with Doug Free. We could sign an Arena League lineman and some yahoo would assume he is going to take Free's job.

Hey!! Don't forget Doug Flutie or Warren Moon!! The Cowboys have had a few good Canadians... Shultz... Crawford!! Remember that Nate Burleson is a proud Canadian...plus many, many more....Rueben Mayes??

One guy made it as an undrafted free agent while the other got hurt.

McDuffie was a record-setting return man in college, what has Lucky Whitehead ever done? What has he ever "proven"? Other than being able to screw up, never play receiver, and lose his punt return job?

Is it? Free's declining, but the guy actually starts and has a role. Whitehead is only getting further and further away from the field, while screwing up off of it. Showing up for work should be enough for somebody to replace him.
