I like it because it'll get Zeke on the field for more 3rd downs. I know many want to run Zeke into the ground now while he's young and on his first contract, but the team is clearly not wanting to do this. SO the best course of action is to use his abilities at the best times. Also means no more Dunbar downs.

We don't need an expensive RB at the twilight of his career to save a team that sorely requires help on defense. Let's not go there; it won't happen. The Dallas FO isn't inclined to spend excessive amounts of $$ to augment a unit that's already a strength of the team. It's just a lame idea. They'll probably be much more inclined to draft a RB in the later rounds of the draft than to look to Peterson for help.

Too old and money should be focused on needs such as a pass rusher on the dline and a good safety.

If there is a solid RT in free agency I would rather sign that player over AP. We have to continue thinking long term and fix issues. AP does not solve some of our weaknesses.

Lol, awful reporting....... I can't see Peterson accepting a backup role nor Elliott splitting carries with him. The only reason this is a story is because Peterson is a Cowboys fan and expressed interest when they needed an RB.

If his playing days were over and the Cowboys needed a backup this may make sense, but I think he has two more years he could be a starter. Resigning Mcfadden makes much more sense from a cost perspective.

I can see it...Petersen wants to come play at home for cheap where he expects he can win a ring (not happening in Minny)

Makes no sense at all.......enough said. We have Alfred Morris as a backup.....shameful he would be overlooked in that role.

It would have to be an Alfred Morris type contract for it to make any sense whatsoever and we know Peterson won't sign for that cheap.

Dallas just needs to draft a versatile RB. Or just re-sign DMAC.

Peterson will be signing with NYG so we will see a lot of him IMO.

Only reporting is because of the mutual interest between the two parties. Peterson, not son much as a backup though.
