Cowboys Interested In Signing Josh McCown

Yea, Kellen knows the offense and he's cheap. McCown is old, bad, expensive for what you get.
Not many QB groceries out there right now!

I would just draft Jerod Evans late and go with the rookie. He would be able to run the boot limited playbook offense just fine. Handle him just like they did Dak.

Moore and Sanchez are awful..
 What about the shotgun? Can he do that as Dak has shown?

Not to derail the thread, that's all he ran pretty much in college. Honestly Evans had a great year in a brand new system as a transfer and is a nice sleeper QB pick. BTW I hate the Hokies, so this is saying something.

That's just not feasible. You don't trot out a 2nd year 4th rounder and a late round pick as your quarterbacks. You want a veteran who knows the playbook and can also be an experienced voice in the quarterback room and in practice.

When you have to go to your backup 95% of the time your season is done. Getting worked up that your backup qb sucks is like being annoyed that water is wet.

Well then.... if Dak goes down... say hello to 2015.... again!

I'll take that risk.

1) I can use the $5MM in cap space if they cut Romo pre June 1.
2) I don't need Prescott looking over his shoulder if he scuffles a bit.
3) I don't need Crazy Jerry fielding constant questions about Romo and would he push him to start if Prescott had a bad game.
4) I think the team just needs to move on and start building for the future. The Romo era is, unfortunately, over.

I would have no issue of the Cowboys bringing in players to compete for the backup job.

McCown ain't the worst backup option.

Better than some of the guys we've had in the past.

Let him and Moore compete for the #2 spot.
