The longer this goes on, the less chance we get anything.

Jerry probably told Romo that he was going to give it one more try to get a trade done and if not then Romo will get his release

I was about to say the same thing.

They have totally mismanaged this situation when they had all the leverage before the owner ran his mouth.

Jerry is going to succeed in both alienating Romo and ultimately releasing him. Neither "doing right" by Romo or the team.

Tony sat beside Dak all last year. I don't think he will have any problem listening to Boby Dylan for a while and hanging out with his two kids and pregnant wife.

This is one time where Jerry's mouth did not get him in trouble.

Everyone and their mothers knew that once Dak began to do so well and kept Romo on the bench, Romo was gone.

And Romo is too old and too brittle and makes too much money to remain on the Cowboys' roster.

And with the aforementioned ailments, no team was going to give up much, if anything, for Romo.

So Jerry could have kept his mouth as tight as miser's puckerhole, it wouldn't have mattered. We would still be in the same situation.

Exact opposite is true. The longer it goes on, the less options teams have and the more they start to worry.

That would require holding on to Romo past the draft and you and me both know that aint happening.

Romo will not be on this roster come draft day, so there is a very short window we are working with here, a couple of weeks max.

Because I know how Jerry operates.....................but feel free to believe anything you want.

Give an example where Jerry let someone go too early.

Jerry is not the only one in the decision. Jerry is on record that there is no hurry to cut Romo.

Do you have anything other than not trusting Jerry JOnes behind this take?

Yep, I'm anti-Romo. You sure nailed me.

At the end of the day, there is only so long some teams will be likely willing to wait for him before they moves on. If he hits free agency too late, it could possibly hurt his options. That's not being an anti-Romo, 10 year old...

This is how I know some of the people on this board have a serious issue. You are and have been FAR from anti Romo and are pro Romo. But yet, people are jumping the gun at every little comment and that's what makes their actions so ugly and disgusting.

I'm big on Romo and still find myself defending him outside of this forum. But I can't wait for this stuff to finally end. Although I feel like every mistake Dak makes will be brought up next season by a few people.

Bringing up Jacksonville might make them think twice.

Except Jax likely not on Romo's list of preferred destinations. Willing to take Denver's 2nd and 3rd, swap firsts, for Romo.

Trade Ty Crawford for 4th, Orlando Scandrick for a 5th, Alfred Morris for a 6th. Then trade 2018 2nd for Joe Thomas and 2018 4th for Shelden Richardson.
