As for the Thanksgiving day game, am gonna thoroughly enjoy it. He'll also he doing Thursday games and, since I have Sunday Ticket, every game, every week.

He won't trump our games, goes without saying, or relevant games to our division and race for a berth, but I will check him out in between commercials, or when less compelling games are on.

Always a Cowboys fan first, and Dak is life.

Good morning! Well, I went in to retire yesterday, inspired by Romo, my boss talked me out of it. He asked me to reconsider. I told him I would take another week or two, to think about it.
 
Yeah...I am. The commercial came on when I was waking up, sparkling water with alc. Gourgous girl drinking it, my first thought was what the heck? Then I started to remember all the hard ice teas, fruit flavored drinks, mikes hard lemonade in 2 different flavors. Just a matter of time before they came out with something that sounds healthier. :) time to go get my coffee.
 
Man, a lot of love and hate for Tony going on. I really liked what Tony did for us, always rooted for him. I'm glad he didn't go to another team and I look forward to watching him on CBS.

Thinking I might go sober for a while. In the last 11 years, I might've done 150 days total without booze.

Don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I've thrown up now 6 days in a row. Today there was red in it, hopefully it was ketchup (I ate a hotdog with ketchup and mustard from a truck for lunch). My son, when he is here, has now seen me leaning over the toilet. His little blessed heart holds my hand. My beauty. My angel.

Have been pushing my endoscopy appointment off for the last 5 months. This June (my, now, latest appointment), I won't. I need to go in there with a sober stomach.

I don't know how in the hell I'm gonna do this. I have a ton of benzos, gonna need em all.

Start one day at a time. Skip a day every now and then. Then go two days....I really don't know bro. Just think of your boy when you get the shakes.
Four and a half years ago I weighed 340 lbs when it hit me that I wanted to see my daughter graduate HS, college, get married and hold my grand kids. That's what motivated me to lose 100 lbs. wasn't easy, but well worth it.
If all else fails, get on the beer thread and play some music for us.

Did you stop drinking back then, Coach? When you say skip a day, do you mean take a day or two a week to booze until the shakes are gone?

I get the bugs if I go longer than 5-6 hrs
 
I used to drink a lot of beer, 20 to 30 a night. Not everyday, but at least three times a week. Lots of coaches parties at the ranch. I quit beer for about 3 years and started sipping on scotch and water and then hit vodka. Did it to cut the carbs. Realized I was overdoing it at times so I'll go cold turkey for a week or so, from time to time.
Recently, I gave up drinking during the week and only partake on the weekends. Cut back on the liquor quite a bit too.
Maybe you can start by going from high alcohol IPAs to regular beer.

Yeah, don't drink for a day, then two etc. I'm no expert by any means, just trying to help.
