Damn, I drive 40 miles in about 25 minutes. 85 mph in Texas.

there is 20 minutes on local roads before highway.
my location is not convenient.
i told my folks to move there after 9-11 to be safe

Hwy 1 is beautiful but there was an avalanche at Big Sur recently so u cannot actually get through for at least 1 year...

I freighted 3 floors to Anaheim Stadium one year cuz there's going to have a big mobile home show there,, the last floor their I thought it'd be cool to tool down to lake Elsinore for the night,,, it didn't pan out to plan ,,two dudes cut me off in a Jeep and there was a stop light at the bottom of a short quick hill we topped,,,I put the big Volvo/ white toter in a right power skid and bounce some ' stuff' out of the back amongst them was an $80 hydraulic 12 ton jack and a single leaf mobile home axle spring, well I'd just bought that jack within a year ,,so was heading back to get it when a spanking new black Cadillac Escalade topped over that hill and "clang/ bang" it hit that axle spring and ran off the road and kinda ended up against a light pole,,,, I met a couple of C.h.p's heading to the scene all the while grabbing gears to any/ all points EAST ,,, haven't been to California since.
But I saw some 'roller girls' on the beach side boardwalks

no roller girls as this is not venice beach.

i have a friend visiting from shanghai and i promised sightseeing.
i did not see a viable detour.
i canceled on hearse castle because of that.
they said the avalanche create about 11 acres of new land for California.
