i am driving up to SF on the 25th from palos verdes going thru highway 5 - are you on the way?

Any idea how far the giant redwoods are from Seattle?

Yeah man I'm never going up there without my rifle or shotgun again.
My wife's cousin has a place up near ours and the rangers told her that the bears are the most aggressive thsat they have ever seen them and it's because some of the locals are feeding them on a regular basis.

Hwy 1 is beautiful but there was an avalanche at Big Sur recently so u cannot actually get through for at least 1 year...

dont think bucket list.
think fun, adventure, recharge.
so travel to all the places u want to see.
and u may get bored in 2-3 years and then restart ur 2nd career.
though half-time may be better and allows more fun...
