I'm not throwing dirt on Leary, especially the 2016 version, where he reshaped his body and reinvented himself. Working hard and taking the high road worked out well for the man and he was rewarded as a result. Other players have the potential to be better on the move, but I think all of them would be hard-pressed to equal or surpass the power and toughness that Leary brought to the line.

I think he channeled his frustrations in a positive way and took it out on his opponents on the field.

Which I would like to think makes it obvious you cannot disappear for games at a time....

I don't know "what you said". If you think that Malik Collins "disappeared for games at a time", its obvious that your eyesight isn't very good. He's as "real" as it gets for this team's defensive line and is already the best, more reliable option they have.

Anybody trying to question him should be questioned themselves.
 
I’ve been impressed with the way Terrance Williams has been catching balls in these practices. Even when the ball has been a little high, he has not tried to contort his body in order to use it to make the catch. There have been more natural receptions with extended hands. I will be interested to see once we get to camp -- when the pressure is on him, will he revert back to his old body catching ways? But so far so good.

I wouldn't that I agree that all of the potential starting candidates are more athletic than Leary. The guy was a left tackle in college. His first step isn't elite, but he can mirror well and he could both pull and hit the second level very well. I think he's very underrated by a lot of our fan base in that regard.
