Name your top 5 that need to improve to put Dallas over the hump!
5) Chaz Green
4) Scandrick
3) Dez
2) T. Craw
1) D Law
My list may surprise, but I think the players largely responsible for 2016's turnaround need to improve more than anybody. Why? Because those are the players opposing coaches are looking at to shutdown this offseason. So, my list:
5) Zeke - Status quo would certainly be nice and would likely lead to another playoff appearance. But the question at hand is how do we get over the playoff hump. Answer - an even better Zeke would be huge!
4) Dez - This likely mirrors most list, so I'm sure there is very little need to expound here. But when teams figure out how to shut down Zeke, the onus will be on Dez to make them pay...dearly.
3) Demarcus Lawrence - Yet another player that is on most list. I would add, though, that he is also one of the more likelier players to have a turnaround considering he is in a contract year.
2) Orlando Scandrick - He doesn't just need to be better on the field; you could make an argument his role as a leader in the lockerroom/film room/classroom is potentially even more important, considering the addition of youth in the secondary this offseason. So, in every category, we need to see more from Scandrick and the impact of that "more" cannot be understated.
1) Dak Prescott - I've said it, the national media has said it...I'd be willing to bet you at the very least at some point have thought it...Dak may not be able to get by on status quo from 2016. Everything he struggles to do will be the exact situation opposing defenses will attempt to create on every snap he takes. So, there is no question, despite how great he was last year, he absolutely has to be better this year. The offense as a whole depends on it!
