Why do you hate Romo so much? I do have to say it's funny to see what you say here, but when the game had a chance to be clinched by Dak in the playoffs last year, he couldn't even get the ball past the line of scrimmage, yet I haven't heard anything other than praise for him from you.
You should read more posts. Tony was a good QB. Nothing mr than that. What Prescott, really, has to bee offere remains to be seen, l hope he is the real thing. We shall see.0

What is Witten to you then? A good TE, nothing more than that? Since Tony, was throwing him the ball all those years.

Supposedly Peyton Manning was A pretty good QB.

IF we are just gonna judge the "how he played in biggest games card" he comes up a little short as well.

Unless we are to credit his Lombardi over Sexy Rexy's bears and his doughnut on third downs second ring against the Panthers as a credible achievement. Or was it 1 for 15.

I guess Romo and Peyton were one in the same if we do the whole "post season success model.

Geez what does that make rabbits foot lucky leprechaun Eli?

Eli is absolutely the luckiest QB to play in the last 2 decades.

Bradford isn't far behind with his $98 million in earnings to date. But that's a different kind of luck. Dumb luck for Bradford, career luck for Elisha.

There is a debate going on here in San Antonio on the local ESPN radio show. Who is the third best QB in Cowboy's history between Romo and Danny White. Having seen the entire career of both, it seems evident to me, but i wanted to pose the question to the board to see if my opinion is not as concrete as i believe.
I never got to see White play, I've always thought incredibly high of Romo. What kind of qb was White?

That's a cute revisionist history, but we do know how Troy would play on flawed (but still good enough to make the playoffs) teams because from 1996-1999 the Cowboys made the playoffs three times and Troy stunk, throwing 8 interceptions against only two touchdowns, with the Cowboys going 1-3 in those games. Troy was great as a game manager on pre-free agency super teams, but came down to earth considerably once the team started shedding talent. There is zero evidence he would have done squat on Danny or Tony's teams.

I was going for cute! Awesome. I'm glad you noticed. Anyhow...

Troy's gutted teams from 96-99 were running on fumes and so was he. Aikman had a bad back, and the concussions were adding up. Of course his play was gonna slip. However, it is my opinion that a prime Aikman gets more playoff wins with Romo's teams than Romo did, and I believe that if you put a prime Troy on those early 80's NFC title game teams, that he gets at least one win. Those NFC title game teams were still pretty dang good. They just needed better qb play, and I think Aikman gives it to them. If you think all that Aikman brought to the table was being a game manager, then I will have to disagree. The guy had an arm capable of making all the throws (granted, his deep ball was his weakest element, but he could still sling it) , pinpoint amazing accuracy, leadership, fire, work ethic, and he even had good mobility before injuries slowed him down. He was the total package. He was the number one draft pick for a reason. He's in the hall of fame for a reason.

Of course, as you said, I have zero evidence to prove who could win more with whose teams. I'm not sure where I said that I did have any evidence to prove it, but like my boy Troy, I've had a few concussions. Perhaps they are affecting my memory? But to be clear, this is all speculation on a hot summer day, in an offseason that is moving like cold syrup. Go Cowboys!

He was good. There was a link to a playoff game against Tampa Bay here not too long ago, and there are more old games as well on youtube. You should check them out. It's cool to see the old broadcasts, coaches and players.

Danny was a very good QB, also punted. He had a green light from Landry to run for the first down. He did it several times. He would have probably been in the HOF if it wasn't for Joe Montana. Lol
wow, I had heard about him punting, the other details are really cool! Sounds just or more underrated than Romo. Such a shame so many great players go forgotten and never get the credit they deserve.

He was a very good punter. Never knew what he was going to do. I always thought Danny was short changed by Cowboy fans. I can picture what it would have been like if the internet was around then.

Danny White. Romo played in the QB friendly era. If Romo payed in a era where defenses were allowed to play defense he wouldve been a INT machine IMO. And IMO he wouldve been injured alot.
