That's a cute revisionist history, but we do know how Troy would play on flawed (but still good enough to make the playoffs) teams because from 1996-1999 the Cowboys made the playoffs three times and Troy stunk, throwing 8 interceptions against only two touchdowns, with the Cowboys going 1-3 in those games. Troy was great as a game manager on pre-free agency super teams, but came down to earth considerably once the team started shedding talent. There is zero evidence he would have done squat on Danny or Tony's teams.
I was going for cute! Awesome. I'm glad you noticed. Anyhow...
Troy's gutted teams from 96-99 were running on fumes and so was he. Aikman had a bad back, and the concussions were adding up. Of course his play was gonna slip. However, it is my opinion that a prime Aikman gets more playoff wins with Romo's teams than Romo did, and I believe that if you put a prime Troy on those early 80's NFC title game teams, that he gets at least one win. Those NFC title game teams were still pretty dang good. They just needed better qb play, and I think Aikman gives it to them. If you think all that Aikman brought to the table was being a game manager, then I will have to disagree. The guy had an arm capable of making all the throws (granted, his deep ball was his weakest element, but he could still sling it) , pinpoint amazing accuracy, leadership, fire, work ethic, and he even had good mobility before injuries slowed him down. He was the total package. He was the number one draft pick for a reason. He's in the hall of fame for a reason.
Of course, as you said, I have zero evidence to prove who could win more with whose teams. I'm not sure where I said that I did have any evidence to prove it, but like my boy Troy, I've had a few concussions. Perhaps they are affecting my memory? But to be clear, this is all speculation on a hot summer day, in an offseason that is moving like cold syrup. Go Cowboys!
