Paul George to Thunder

I think it improves them significantly as they badly needed another scorer outside of Westbrook. The fact they didn't give up Steven Adams is win too. I like Sabonis has a development player and Oladipo is a middling player.

I wonder if they'll be better than they were with KD. KD is the better player but George might gel better with Westbrook. Plus it'll be Westbrook's team now. They need another big if they wanna compete with GS though.

Best situation for Lakers. Instead of George on Celtics/Cavs, where in the East he can be on a team that can get to the finals (where he also might resign). George will be a Laker next summer.

Compete with GS for what?

Interesting, good trade for OKC now IMO they are under tremendous pressure to win big now because if they don't, I would expect PG to bolt for another team next offseason. Odds seem high that it's a one year rental but if it works out it's a franchise altering move for the next ten years.
Curious to see how Russ and PG mesh together. With Kanter and Adams inside, OKC could be really good, better than Houston and more balanced.

PG13 traded to OKC for Oladipo and Sabonis. Bunch of role players if you ask me. I don't know why they didn't take three 1st round picks from Boston.

According to reports, Boston never offered the Nets pick or the Lakers pick, so to be honest, I'd take Oladipo over first round picks from playoff teams (Boston, Memphis, LA Clippers)

They werent getting 3 1st from Boston. They have little leverage with George considering you only have 1 year of control. The package Boston was going to give them was roughly equivalent (Crowder and Lakers 1st), was going to be contigent on an extension and coupled witg them getting Hayward

Correction: Just say the Celtics offer. Keep in mind none of those were lotto picks and all were expected to be 25 to 30 range. Considering I think they get better value for George in OKC. At least, Sabonis is a good looking prospect. Dont know if I would have wanted to pay Olapido that much

This coming from the Spurs fan who said Los Angeles is a Clipper town.:lmao::lmao2:In your dreams.

Show me where I am wrong on this regarding PGeorge. What his agent has said, what George has said, or what George has been telling his friends.

Never said LA is a Clipper town. I said the Clippers have been the best team in that town for a few seasons. I'm aware how loyal Lakers fans are and would never disrespect them by calling LA a Clipper Town. Please try to understand my words if you want to dispute them.

I understand your words, as you mine. As for being the best team. The best they could do during their so called reign was win 2 division titles. The city of Los Angeles knows what the term 'best' means, and it is titles only.

If LA is a "Laker Town" then why have the Clippers sold out every home game for the past 6 seasons while the Lakers have not. That certainly suggest that what use to be "Laker Town" is very smitten by the Clippers.

I think they should have gotten picks instead of Oladipo. Maybe add a 3rd team to the deal. They probably could have gotten a couple mid to late firsts, for Oladipo in a 3 way. Teams in that range may have valued him over two low end firsts even on a baby max. If the Pacers truely want to rebuild, to develope quality core role players or find some draft and stash guys.

They just got impatient. There best hope is Sabonis makes this look like the Gasol brothers trade where the Grizzly's got poor value for Pau, but Mark turned into a very good player for them

Not a Laker fan, but LA will always be a Laker town. They are certainly smitten by the Clippers, but if both teams met in the playoffs, there would be nothing but purple and gold in the stands

If both present teams met in the playoffs, something would be seriously wrong in this world... like Armageddon wrong.

I dont think the Clips sans Paul are a playoff team, especially with the T-Wolves looking primed this year. Maybe if Griffin plays 70+ and Hayward bolts Utah

The Lakers wont be until they use that cap space in 2018

Neither team is worthy of sniffing the playoffs in their present form so why waste anymore time talking about them? LA basketball currently sucks.

Because it beats talking about a team in its twilight like the Spurs.
