If you could design a Tampa 2 CB in a lab, he'd come out like Chido. He's the type of corner Kiffin, Dungy and Rod had in mind when running that defense all those years. We're not a true Tampa 2 D, but it's influence is still heavily apparent in many of our packages and overall scheme.
The floor on Chido is an upper echelon nickel CB, when he's allowed to play underneath he's as good as they come. The talk of moving him to safety is interesting because the lines are blurred between your down safety and slot CB in base nickel sets.
Bottom line, he fits this defense to a T and should be a cornerstone piece no matter where they decide to use him.
