And still fans are making excuses for Zeke and defending him....unreal.

Maybe he's innocent of everything; maybe he's just the unluckiest innocent guy in the world. I hope he plays 16 games and we run his freakin' wheels off.

The bottom line is this guy is both a great player and an idiot. He continues to let his teammates down; camp can't start soon enough, and I hope they all tell him just what they think. Emmitt was a young single star, and he never put himself in these situations.

Maybe this all fades and Zeke never has another incident, but right now, suspension or not, he's screwing homself out of a second contract with the Cowboys.

Meh. Not a big deal. I don't like bars nor alcohol. And everyone knows alcohol makes people lose their inhibitions. But it is part of the social mores of the society itself so how can you criticize someone for something that is legally and socially acceptable. This is something that should be handled internally by the organization.

It's the PC police and their media arm and how big they make this out to be that causes all the issues.

I have been involved with many police reports from bar incidences, having owned a bar, and still involved with one when need be.
For fights, walked tabs, damage to property, even fights in the parking lot that had nothing to do inside the bar.
Most incidences, nothing comes from it a good part of the time, unless some idiot is drunk enough to be an idiot in front of the police.

If punches thrown, usually one, sometimes both go to jail. But usually just fines and such. Never had anything that big of a deal.

If there is no follow up investigation from the police that means those that answered the call put in their report that it looks like a typical bar incident; everyone too drunk and no one really able to describe what happened.

So a platter should be suspended for several incidents combined when they are all unrelated that do not deserve a suspension as a single entity.
Maybe the bouncer started the incident.

Walked into a marijuana shop........so is this legal, if you walked into that shop, would your employer suspend you (if you are not self-employed)

Texted a girlfriend that he would beat an upcoming drug test.......this means nothing, my friends and I joked all the time, when we had to take drug tests for employment, and none of us did or do drugs.

Domestic violence allegations in Ohio......no charges were made and case dropped.

Pulling a girl's shirt down at a Dallas parade......immature act, girl was ok with it, nothing is ever mentioned except on here.

Two car accidents.......and he should be suspended for this, and neither was his fault, and and was a passenger in one of them.

And now a bar fight the week of his meeting in New York with the league office.......can we at least wait until we have some details.

This could suddenly be a much longer suspension......sounds like you want him suspended so you can have something to go on about

lol, some of y'all are straight up ridiculous.

Hopefully Cris Carter passed down some Buckeye knowledge to Zeke and told him to get a fall guy.

This is quite good, as no arrests were made and reports weren't filed containing allegations connecting Zeke..

At this point, it's drunken John Brown's conception of what occurred - they've got nothing..

Did he hit the guy, almost certainly yes.....

Bold is all its about so some of these people can go on from their 9to5 towers grandstanding about how they are sooooo much more morality than Zeke or whoever else is famous and in most cases making money than them.

This logic always has me rolling

Well, he certainly balled out last year. You know, leading the league in rushing and being a huge part of our offense.

While I'm smh at this, I'm waiting for more concrete info before getting upset.
On the field is not the problem. He's a great football player.

Off the field, he's hurting himself, his teammates, his coaches, his fans. He may or may not be an idiot but regardless, he needs to stop acting like one.

no names were mentioned but that is no unusual in first reports given to the public. BUT the fact that the victim has no idea who punched him is a good thing.

The only thing that could come back and bite him is if cell phone footage surfaces.
