Is Alfred Morris' spot on the 53 now secure?

If not him a free agent upgrade. Doubt there are any out there but I haven't looked, cause I didn't think wed need one.

It shouldn't be..... DMC is the back up

AMorris is a two down predictable runner

Get some youth with a HR hitting ability and some pass catching skills

Guys like AMorris are literally always available and don't need to cost 2m

Your question should be...Is AMorris and Dmac safe now.

Either one of them could have been gone.

And if Zeke gets a suspension for a game or two they could still let one of them go or just keep one, until the suspension(s) are over.

If we went into one season with Dmac as our main starter...anything is possible with this FO and how they view things.

Alfred Morris's spot on the team always was safe. We just have a bunch of haters that what to see the brother cut loose.

Hard to cut this guy when Zeke looking at a lengthy suspension, right?
I would not let him go.

McFadden is injury prone.

With Zeke coming back from a suspension..

hamstrings and other leg injuries become an issue.

Everybody has a job now.

Hopefully we get everybody involved this year and not just ride Zeke.

Let's learn some lessons here..

I disagree. There is a reason they were giving Rod Smith reps at RB. It was because they thought that he could be a gameday special teamer AND third string RB. In which case they would have cut Morris. But now, Morris might be safe because they need a true second string RB behind McFadden for however long EE is suspended.

The only reason Morris is here is for that reason. You think Jerry didn't know a suspension was coming for quite awhile?

Wasnt Randal supposed to be our main starter that season? Either way yeah...

I love the questions that's implying something.
Will Zeke get a longer suspension than Shady McCoy did when he viciously beat 2 off duty cops in philly, after having a woman file a complaint with the NJ PD for McCoy punching her and kicking her off his party bus on the NJ turnpike?

As far as Morris' future on this team is concerned, I think a great deal will depend upon what happens to Zeke in terms of a possible suspension. I think it could go either way with Morris. If Rod Smith makes a real good impression in TC, it wouldn't likely stand Morris' chances of being retained in good stead, since only so many RBs can practically be retained. If Rod Smith fails to impress favorably, then Morris' chances to stick around would likely be good. Nothing is set in stone this year -- the overall competition will present some tough challenges for all.

I like the looks of that kid out of Rutgers. But he has to show something. Right now @big dog cowboy is correct in that he has to really show something to make the day one roster. All bets are off if they bring him back at some point after the first week. I wouldn't guarantee his contract for the entire year until I saw Smith and others play some no matter what happens to EE.

I sort of agree.

Morris calls for a different attack running the ball.

Linehan should be able to smooth it out before the season starts.

He'll have all preseason to do it.
