...actually Daboyz...I have already tried that avenue...and I was completely ignored...I even left my email for any off-site conversations...the last time I checked my private PM mailbox is in working order!...So I am still perplexed as to why it's such a "hush hush" topic!...anyway, again...my first choice is not to "go public" as you say, only to post it in "the Drama Zone!".....and that's "Dramatic!"...

...if the like button doesn't work in the "Off-Topic" forum, then that's all anyone would have had to tell me weeks ago!.
Yet that still wouldn't explain the "Why!

I know I'm a newbie and all that rot...but still, I'd like to know why some can keep their like buttons, and some can't.
(What harm does it do to use a "Like button" on any topic!) ...I mean it's not like I'm asking someone to break their "Security Clearance,"
I'm not asking anyone to re-write the Constitution!...no I'm not....all I have asked is a simple ..."Why!??"...

...this is drama...isn't it!...:omg:

there was a long, ongoing thread in the off topic zone where a dozen or so regulars handed out likes to each other on multiple posts a day......they quickly gained thousands of likes and passed some long time members very quickly

the mods didn't know if they were gaming the system so they shut the whole likes down in most non Fan Zone rooms......... once these posters proved they were participating in this thread for real camaraderie and not a likes scam it was allowed to continue but just without the likes button....... but all accumulated likes were allowed to stand

now there are just a couple threads in the off topic zone that don't have the like button but it has nothing to do with special privileges

Really tho, how the hell do you not "like" posts from your friends? It wasn't a scam. Never was. This has been proven. Hell, I told the mods/Reality to delete the Old Beer Thread. I still encourage it.

We were, and are, friends. It's impossible, for me, not to "like" those members of this site I hold near and dear. Impossible. But I also "like" whole threads, regularly give out more than a thousand a day on some days. If someone sees theirselves not getting "likes" from me, frankly, they did something wrong in thine eyes. If they don't care, I don't either. If they care, I still don't. Once I dislike someone, unless they reach out, it stays that way. I'm petty like that. But it's very few and far between.

Back on topic, we "liked" each other's posts, to the consternation of a couple loudmouth non-mods. One in particular. We have since proven we are all friends. We stand by each other through and through. As I do with many members of this board. Members that have never once posted in the old thread or the new. I "like" who's posts I want to, and blackball/ignore those who I don't. Simple as that for me. Everyone is different. I speak for myself.

Whether it's popular or not, I couldn't care less. (Not directed at you, B, obviously)

Also, folks, visit the Beer Thread! Have a drink with us :)

I lurk there from time to time and I know you guys are the Truth......it is just one subject I'm not passionate about any more....... "not my bag baby".......... but it is and always was authentic ........ I have seen a number of people question this subject and I guess it is taboo but I come from Banistan (ht @Kaiser) and DHAFLTG
