To Like Or Not To Like

When I first came to this site I, as others before me, had to earn my "Like" button!..
When it was just taken away...without a word, a message , or a warning at anytime before or after, I thought to myself... "Have I done or said
anything to offend someone!?"...I just didn't know....and I tell ya' guys, I'm just one of those people who like to know.

Now that I've acquired a tad more info on the subject...(I'm thinking...Couldn't likes be abused in any Forum?)
I'd like to Lobby for myself and others for the return of our "Likes" on a trial basis!
I'm thinking that the problem wasn't so much the "Likes" per say, but the number of "likes".
In that case I propose to limit a posters "Likes"/per day...to some agreed upon number That way the poster can have a
limited number of "Likes" to use each day while not abusing the privilege.

We should act like adults here. I really see no reason to lose the privilege just because someone else might have abused the "Like" in the past!
I hope the Staff along with the Administrator will consider the " Limited Like proposal!"...It can be a Win-Win situation. TDM

What arbitrary number of "likes" should each poster have? What of the regular season when there's 50-100 new threads a week, 20 or more a day, and over a thousand posts a day? What of Game Day threads? You want to limit "likes", a fun and fulfilling way for posters to communicate their pleasure for another post/poster? Just because your Strangeness and Weather thread lost it? Much larger and ongoing threads have lost the feature, too, bro.

Cmon, man. There's several of us who post in the thousands in threads that don't receive "likes". Stop trying to change the status quo, amigo. I know you mean well, but you're hung up on nonsense. No offense, Martian.

No offense, but you have 200 posts to your name and want to make these major changes. It's cray cray, mis amigo. My point is, some of us are incredibly active. Should your "like" proposal be used on a sliding scale for those that post rarely, such as yourself?

Sometimes I can be a bit of an arse. Again, I apologize. Especially if you are unable to "like" in any thread. I thought it was only the threads that none of us can give "likes" in.

If you've lost the feature, it probably means you need to post in the Fan Zone more. There's an announcement explaining this in the New Member Zone or one of the Announcement Threads, I forget which. Pretty sure it's the New Member Zone, tho.
