Relax people, he hasn't even been convicted yet and everyone is already yelling to cut him. If this was Zeke, the excuses would range from "he was set up" to "he hasn't been proven guilty yet". Talking about the pot calling the kettle black, I see a lot of the same people calling the Zeke nonsense a "witch hunt" but are now wanting Lucky to be cut without knowing all the facts. SMH.
LOL He missed court and has a warrant out for his arrest as we speak.

He has to run east west on the jet sweep before running upfield. He turned the corner plenty of times though. He also is not afraid to run through traffic on punt returns despite his diminutive size. The issue is that he fumbles the ball and does not run very good routes. It limits him when it doesn't make him a liability.

That being said he does have game breaking speed and is young. I just find this entire exercise an interesting study on group dynamics. The transference of the desire for punitive action is sad if cliche.
Punitive action? This guy missed a game last year for not showing up. And has a warrant out for his arrest. I am sorry, I am sick of seeing my team as headlines for warrants and not Superbowl trophies. Maybe its time to send a message, and Switzer can replace Lucky easily. Its not all about speed.

How can he just have heard of it and the Cowboys knew about it for awhile at the same time?

Perhaps the report of the Cowboys knew about it for a while is false or misleading. Perhaps the account of Lucky not knowing what was going on was taken out of context.

The media likes to do both of these things. And remember, TMZ is involved here.

Maybe it was his dad that got arrested and he's Rodney "Lucky" Whitehead III? One can hope, can't they?

> Here are 10 things you might not know about Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead.

> 1). Lucky isn't his real name

> It's actually Rodney, which is also the name of his father.

Very true. Check out this quote from Garrett after Corey White was cut.

“We evaluate our players every minute of every day. We evaluate our players in meetings, in walk throughs, on the practice field, the opportunity to get in games, how they interact with their teammates. The body of work of each of those guys. We evaluate all of it. At some point you say we feel like we like we should give someone else the opportunity to have this privilege to be a Dallas Cowboy. That is what we did in both of those cases. The decisions were made in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys”.
I understand the point you are trying to make, but violating the dress code is more of a direct insubordination issue as opposed to a possible personal conduct issue outside of work. This is the same for any job in America. Get in trouble on your own time, your job may or may not care. Do the opposite of what you boss asks you to do, and see you in the unemployment line.

So what do you think happened? I can think of only one scenario in which Lucky escapes being a total moron: Whoever is the culprit was originally charged by a citation or summons and lied and somehow misrepresented themselves as Lucky and the cop was too lazy to do much digging and verify the suspect"s identity. That would possibly explain why he didn't show in court and is now claiming ignorance of the whole affair.

OR

He has some kind of mental problem through which he gets a rush by stealing petty goods and is so much of a reckless moron he doesn't realize court isn't optional.

You tell me which is more likely explanation.

Well, I guess it could of been his dad?

Also, I really thought his first name was Lucky. Rodney Whitehead is a lot better than Lucky Whitehead lol

So his excuse is that he has shoplifted so often he doesn't remember this particular one?

C'mon man, cut the guy some slack, at least he showed up last Friday on time (cough, Dez, cough). He may not be able to make court on time but he can make practice. Looks like he has his priorities straight to me. Football before any and all else, the Cowboys way! This is the kind of leader we need on this team.
