Punitive action? This guy missed a game last year for not showing up. And has a warrant out for his arrest. I am sorry, I am sick of seeing my team as headlines for warrants and not Superbowl trophies. Maybe its time to send a message, and Switzer can replace Lucky easily. Its not all about speed.

Yes, that is punitive action.

I don't blame anyone but Lucky for that.

But I do blame Jason and Jerry for the lack of consequences for such behavior. Jason preaches #RKG, but where are the consequences when a player screws up like this? Cutting Lucky will be a very easy for Jason to do. So that isn't really the test. When Zeke screws up again, what will Jason do then?

I think we all know the answer: he'll do zilch.
As he should. You don't cut a top-10 player in this league for minor crap. Besides, Jason doesn't doesn't have the final say on who gets cut. Jerry does.

This is one of those cases where cutting a player to make an example makes complete sense.

Seriously...

How can you respect the Cowboys front office if they don't let Lucky go...?

His career is over and I doubt he ever plays another down.

You know who must be thanking his lucky stars now? Ryan Switzer.
The guy gets hired by the best and most recognizable team in football.
He's slated to compete for punt return duties with Lucky, and now Lucky's likely not going to provide any competition at all.
He's going to be worked into the offense too. Beasley had better watch for hidden potholes. LOL!

I see your points.

But in reality, Lucky stood zero chance beating out Switzer. Lucky had his time here.

Average on returns, average on his jet sweep and fumbled a few times.

This is a gift from heaven for Garrett. He gets to make an example of a player who didn't figure into the plans anyway while simultaneously sending a message to the media as well as his own team that he's done putting up with the nonsense. Your next move doesn't get anymore obvious than this.
