I was completely caught off guard by Jaylon Smith burst today. Vastly different from his previous practice in pads. Dallas should have internal discussions about Jaylon at Will and Lee back to MLB. I need Jaylon flying around and not getting caught up in trash in middle. Very positive day for Jaylon.

My question is; is it better to have both Smith and Lee on the field at the same time regardless of positions played.
Or force Smith into the will position Lee into the Mike position and watch how long it takes for Lee to get injured.
It didn't take long the last time they put Lee on the Mike.

I think it will come down to who is Dallas more interested in protecting for future. MLB will be high injury risk for both players.

Lee played the vast majority of defensive snaps last year--, Thinking keeping Jaylon's snap count reasonable by giving him plays at both Mlb and Will ---keeps Lee fresh, keeps Jaylon strong and building experiirence---remember he is essentially a rookie, will be a learning curve. Lee wont play forever.

Be certain teams That Jaylon will be more effective a MLB than Hitch, as they tend to go to the short passing game (sproles in Philly, G.Bay ).......

Jaylon is perfect for MLB in my opinion.... big, smart, sure tackler-- with sideline to sideline speed and great coverage skills

Remember how McClain was able to set the tone for the whole D at MLB? Jaylon has the ceiling to be a lot better than Ro-- on and off the field lol

I'm confused. First, he can't lift his foot; but I see him lifting his foot. Then, he's limping yet he's running full speed. He's not suppose to be ready for the season opener, yet he looks like he's ready to start with the first team. I don't know what to believe.
I'm tired of analyzing him. I'm just going to sit back and ride this one out.

He is the MLB of the future, no doubt. I just think they will ease him in.

I'd tap the brakes on Jaylon starting week one, they're not going to rush him and it's only practice, From what I've seen he still has a hitch and Gimp in his running and lateral mobility when he has to push off the left side is still lacking and Lee isn't moving back to MLB, they want to protect him and his knee, that's why he was moved outside...

More than anything, I think it's the prevalence of 3-wide offenses that has saved Lee. Not many smash mouth, two TE and fullback teams left. It's a passing league now. Whether or not Smith plays MLB, most of the time we are in nickel anyway. And the two LBs are pretty much stacked in the middle next to each other, with the nickel back covering the slot.
