More likely to win the MVP this year: Dak or Zeke?

True but if you have a players like Aikman and Emmitt as it was back then playing to an MVP level then chances are your team is playing SB caliber football. I don't know if Zeke or Dak will win the MVP but I sure hope they are playing to the level to be considered MVP candidates because if they are this team will be competing for a title.
 
Last year Garrett likely pulled the plug on Zeke's best chance, but you never know. MVP's are largely about storyline. I don't think Emmitt wins MVP without missing the first two games, strangely enough.

Dak Prescott: +1200
Ezekiel Elliott: +2000

I believe the chance that Zeke is suspended has to do with Zeke at +2000 because earlier in the offseason he was even with Dak at +1200.

This question is prefaced with the assumption that Zeke is not suspended for any games this season.

My guess would be Zeke because I do not believe our offense will be directed towards having Dak throw the ball as often as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, etc, therefore Dak would not have the passing yards nor TDs to match the elite passers in the league which would prohibit him from winning the MVP in his sophomore campaign. If the Dallas Cowboys have a dominant season this year, it is likely that Ezekiel Elliott is leading the league in all rushing categories and approaching 2000 yards, possibly eclipsing that milestone.

My vote goes to Zeke because I believe his production this year is more likely to standout than Dak.

Love both Dak and Zeke, and I ultimately wish for a Super Bowl for the team over any individual awards so please avoid any banter about Dak vs. Zeke or that individual awards are irrelevant.

I think Zeke has the better shot because I don't think Dak can keep his interceptions lower than he did last year and will be unfairly docked for it.

Its not a matter of being impressed or not. They werent the best rushing team and Zeke was not the best RB last year. Those are just the facts. If Dallas decides to throw him more passes as they should then he has a shot to put up those kind of numbers. I like nothing more than a running football team. And its no coincidence that we started balling once we established a dominant run game.

You're the person that used the phrase "most impressive".

On the one hand you say Seattle has the best rushing team in the league because, as you say, they lead the league in rushing--as a team(By one yard per game).

Yet, on the other hand you say Zeke wasn't the best back (you even state that is a fact when it is your opinion) despite the fact he lead the league in rushing--as an individual.

More impressive stats? Like who? Zeke is a runningback so of course you have to look at rushing yards. Isn't that why you have runningbacks?
 
I believe its a toss up between Zeke and Dak. Dak can perform up to par with Aaron Rogers, Brady, and other passing teams. Zeke can easily run for 2000+ if it weren't for Dak being a upper etchlon QB (Yes I believe his top 5).

They compliment each other well and its what makes our offense so deadly. Our balanced offense will give the other team fits because its so balanced. Thus its a tossup and I can't decide.
 
Probably Elliott because I'm 100% sure he puts up great numbers again barring injury. I'm also sure Dak will play well again, but he had such a great year as a rookie QB that he could perform the same and still fall short. But, it's easier for a QB to win the award this day and age.

I said nothing about Seattle. And I was very clear that RB's are more than just rushing yards. Zeke also plays behind the best line in football. Put him on the Rams and lets see if he leads the league in rushing. I love Zeke, but saying he is the best RB simply because he led the league in rushing is too simplistic.

Your phrase was "those are the facts". By that I assumed you meant they were ranked 2nd in rushing so they weren't the best. Seattle was first.

Ok, you're using the Barry vs Emmitt argument. Well I think his size, speed, power, and a year of experience now make him the best. That is, maybe it was arguable last year if Bell was better, but he'll widen that gap this year and make it more obvious who the best is.

Sherman Williams had the best line in football. How'd he do?

Ill tell you what.............its pretty close. David Johnson had a better year as a RB, but it was close. And one could argue that Zeke really didnt play the last 1.5 games. Johnson had 2100 combined yards and 20 TD's are compared to 2000 combined yards and 16 TD's. But I would argue that Zeke played behind a much better Oline and a much better offense in general.

If you are speaking just on a RB running the football, then I will agree. Zeke was the best last year. But Johnson had a slightly better overall season. And in 12 games he played, Bell I believe was better per game then both of them. Statistically speaking, Dallas was behind Buffalo in rushing the ball. But a good bit of that was the QB.

Never said not to look at rushing yards. I said there is more to a RB and his quality then just rushing yards. IF you dont know what those other things are there is no point in having this conversation.
